Hope Rescue Missions International formerly called Hope Orphans Centre-Iganga is a development focused initiative with its activities inclined to support the orphaned and vulnerable children, support to people with disabilities, support to the elders, widows/widowers, support and care to the young mothers, identifying and support to destitute families, and evangelization of spiritual faith to the
needy communities, plus social function management, capacity building, but also other income generating activities which are local, national, international CBO/NGO. The organization was started in 2015 by Hope Rescue Missions International after seeing that there is a great number of street children and children living with HIV/AIDS in the community. This was formed in order to help children from infant stage up to 18 years in case he/she is an orphan or helpless, these will be given clothes, scholastics materials, food, medication, gifts, shelter, safe drinking water and many more. Its also important to note that the name of the organization was changed because our area of location was made a new district from Iganga so it would confuse many since we were no in Iganga yet the name says Iganga so it prompted us to change. Secondly it was limiting us to only orphans yet there are other categories of needy people who need carte for survival
The organization was started by a small holder farmers by the names of Naigaga Naume who is a Ugandan by nationality aged 48 years. She developed that idea after looking and the worst condition that orphans go through in their journey of life. Just as you know who a farmer is, she could not have all the needed resources to the orphans and after adopting different orphans from different areas, she decided to expose to the world their living standards such that they can be helped by those who can. The organization was established to uplift and ensure the good living standards of the orphans and to enable them acquire quality education. its major source of funds is agriculture. We crop different crops like maize, groundnuts, pumpkins, tomatoes among others but due to the fact that it is not a source of income to rely on, we welcome donation from people all over the world
