A Story of Hope: Bukenya Summit’s Journey.
In 2019, Bukenya Summit completed his high school Advanced Level with a heavy heart. Like many young people, he had big dreams but no hope of joining university. The doors to higher education seemed closed.
But God had another plan.
Summit joined one of our Cruciform programs — "Do Art with Cruciform." He was naturally talented, and he loved art with all his heart. In that space, his gift was not just seen, it was watered. Week by week, his confidence grew, his hands learned new skills, and his spirit began to believe again.
Because of God's grace, his commitment and talent, and the blessing of a sponsor, Summit was given an opportunity to go back to school. He joined Michelangelo College of Creative Arts for a 2-year course.
For two years, Summit poured himself into his studies. He showed up. He worked hard. And he excelled.
When he graduated, he was one of the top students in his class.
His excellence didn’t go unnoticed. Today, we celebrate that Bukenya Summit has been awarded a Government Scholarship at Kyambogo University! 🙏
He is now set to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Art and Design turning the passion he discovered at Cruciform into a future of impact.
From “no hope of university” in 2019, to a government scholar in 2026.
This is what happens when God's will, people with big hearts of generosity, and a hard working person meet. Miracles like this happen.
