TEAP is duly registered a nonprofit NGO, validated, and regulated by the law of NGOs in Uganda. TEAP is based in Mukono and carries out its activities in central and eastern Uganda. Born out of triple tragedy which involved a teen mother who had abandoned her 3 weeks old baby, another case of teen pregnant girl who had been forcefully evicted from her boyfriend’s house who didn’t want to take resp
onsibility and another vulnerable mother of two children in her late 20s, she had been abandoned by the man she lived with, who left her helpless with her children. These three young women and many others of similar situations prompted the passion for the help and support of young single mothers who are so vulnerable and struggling to find how to survive with their little babies. Empowering women especially single mothers, Widows and all vulnerable women groups to be economically independent self-supporting. Since its inception, TEAP has provided capacity building, business training and revolving grants to over 700 women TEAP is as well helping build support groups for people with disabilities. Orphans and Vulnerable Children have been and are being supported on short term and long term needs in all aspects of life so that they can become change makers and responsible men and women of integrity and reliable citizens. Over 700 children that TEAP has been in contact with since 2014, 190 orphans are getting education, clothing, shelter, food and medical care, counseling and guidance. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
