The little girl we refused to give up on. 🙏
On 14th Sept 2026, we found 7-year-old Sefinah in a very remote village in Uganda. Her eye has been swelling since birth. She has never seen a doctor because her grandparents are poor farmers and the hospital is very far.
In August this year 2026, we lost a 9-year-old boy Simon. He started exactly like this. We raised funds too late when it had worsened. Doctors tried, but we lost him. That pain still lives in us.
When we met Sefinah, we were scared she would be another Simon. So on Monday 29th Sept, we used the little we had raised and took her to hospital in Jinja.
We went to two hospitals. They did blood tests, labs, measurements and scans. We paid for everything.
The doctors told us: "Her situation has exceeded our understanding. You must take her to the Cancer Institute in Kampala for further investigation."
He explained she needs CT scan, MRI, and maybe a biopsy to know the cause. Every test must be paid in cash. For now she is anemic (8.5), malaria positive, and has eye infection. They gave medicine for now.

Investigations: UGX 6,000,000 ($1504)
Transport, food, stay: UGX 2,500,000 ($626)
Total: UGX 8,500,000 ($2,130)
Have: UGX 1,470,000 ($368) 🙏
Still need: UGX 7,030,000 ($1,762)
