Doreen is a 10-year-old girl from Bugiri District, Uganda, who is facing a serious health condition. She has been receiving medical care for a liver tumor that has caused severe abdominal swelling and pain and has made it difficult for her to walk normally.
Her mother, Cissy, is caring for her and the other children in the family. Doreen has already undergone treatment, including blood transfusions and IV treatment, but her medical journey is not over. Doctors need to continue monitoring her and have discussed the possibility of surgery if the required funds can be raised.
Doreen’s family is struggling financially, so the cost of treatment has become a major challenge. Her story is now being shared to help raise support for the medical care she needs.
