Creating songs & instruments 🎨🎶

This summer, one of our German volunteers led a workshop on self-love and creativity with the sponsored children at Nazareth House. Together with our Ugandan team, the children explored their creativity, shared their ideas and were reminded of how valuable and lovable they are.
Together, we created a short song with movements and built shakers and rainmakers to make music with.
A joyful day of creativity and self-expression! 💛

Lieder & Instrumente gestalten 🎨🎶

Diesen Sommer leitete eine unserer deutschen Freiwilligen einen Workshop zu Selbstliebe und Kreativität mit den geförderten Kindern im Nazareth House. Gemeinsam mit unserem ugandischen Team konnten die Kinder ihre Kreativität entdecken, eigene Ideen einbringen und erfahren, wie wertvoll und liebenswert sie sind.
Gemeinsam entwickelten wir ein kurzes Lied mit Bewegungen und bastelten Rasseln und Regenmacher. Ein fröhlicher Tag voller Kreativität und Selbstausdruck! 💛

🎓 A step towards a more independent future!

105 Project Two-Five students in Rhino Camp have completed their vocational training and taken their Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB) exams. They also received start-up kits to help them use their newly acquired skills, start working and build sustainable livelihoods.

A meaningful milestone towards greater independence and new opportunities. 🌱

🎓 Ein Schritt in eine selbstständige Zukunft!

105 Schüler:innen von Project Two-Five im Rhino Camp haben ihre berufliche Ausbildung abgeschlossen und ihre Prüfungen beim Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB) abgelegt. Anschließend erhielten sie Starter-Kits, die ihnen dabei helfen sollen, ihre neu erworbenen Fähigkeiten anzuwenden, beruflich durchzustarten und sich eine nachhaltige Lebensgrundlage aufzubauen.

Ein wichtiger Meilenstein auf dem Weg zu mehr Selbstständigkeit und neuen Perspektiven. 🌱

⚡ Learning skills for the future

One of our electronics students, Asiandu Owen, shared what this new course means to him:

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn about electronic components, how they work, and how to install and use them. I’m especially thankful to our instructor, Mr. Daniel, for sharing his knowledge and practical skills with us. This training is giving us valuable skills and helping us build a more self-reliant future.”

„Ich bin dankbar für die Möglichkeit, mehr über elektronische Bauteile, ihre Funktionsweise und ihre Installation und Anwendung zu lernen. Besonders dankbar bin ich unserem Kursleiter Mr. Daniel, der sein Wissen und seine praktischen Fähigkeiten mit uns teilt. Diese Ausbildung vermittelt uns wertvolle Fähigkeiten und hilft uns, eine selbstständigere Zukunft aufzubauen.“

OUR BIG HOLIDAY PROGRAM TOOK PLACE! ✨

Last week, over 300 children Jones us at Nazareth House, together with our teenage helpers. Through singing, dancing, drama, food and small groups, they were learning that God is with them — when things change, when they are afraid and when they feel lonely, just as He was with Daniel and his friends in Babylon.
Some children arrived as early as 7 a.m. on the first day to make sure they didn’t miss registration. Their excitement was contagious! ✨

Letzte Woche waren über 300 Kinder gemeinsam mit unseren jugendlichen Helferinnen und Helfern im Nazareth House dabei. Durch Gesang, Tanz, Theater, gemeinsames Essen und Kleingruppen lernten sie: Gott ist bei ihnen — wenn sich Dinge verändern, wenn sie Angst haben oder sich allein fühlen, so wie Er auch bei Daniel und seinen Freunden in Babylon war.
Am ersten Tag kamen einige Kinder schon um 7 Uhr morgens, um die Anmeldung nicht zu verpassen. Ihre Vorfreude war ansteckend! ✨

PROJECT 2/5 LADIES TEAM REACHES THE FINAL! 🏆👏

As part of Project 2/5, our Ladies Team proudly fought their way to the Arua City Ladies Tournament Final!

We are grateful to have organised the entire tournament, creating a rare opportunity for women in our community to experience competitive football, showcase their talent and grow through sport.

A powerful display of talent, teamwork and determination. We are so grateful for our ladies! 💪❤️

Im Rahmen von Project 2/5 kämpfte sich unser Ladies Team bis ins Finale des Arua City Ladies Tournament!

Wir sind dankbar, das gesamte Turnier organisiert und damit Frauen in unserer Community eine seltene Möglichkeit gegeben zu haben, an einem echten Fußballwettbewerb teilzunehmen, ihr Talent zu zeigen und durch Sport zu wachsen.

Eine starke Leistung voller Talent, Teamgeist und Entschlossenheit. Wir sind sehr dankbar für unsere Ladies! 💪❤️

PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION ✨

This week our teenagers have been preparing to help with next week’s three-day children’s program, starting tomorrow.

They learned about Bible lessons, songs, games, crafts and how to lead small groups and take responsibility.

Not just to help, but to grow, lead and inspire.

Diese Woche haben sich unsere Jugendlichen darauf vorbereitet, beim dreitägigen Kinderprogramm zu helfen, das morgen startet.

Sie haben Bibelgeschichten, Lieder, Spiele und Bastelarbeiten kennengelernt und gelernt, wie sie Kleingruppen anleiten und Verantwortung übernehmen.

Nicht nur, um zu helfen, sondern um zu wachsen, Verantwortung zu übernehmen und andere zu inspirieren.

Today, farming provides him with an income, confidence, and hope for the future.
