STRENGTHENING MEDIA IN WEST NILE

We are humbled to receive over UGX 50 million worth of equipment support from Enabel Uganda through its West Nile Office, at a critical time in our media growth journey.

The support includes three brand-new broadcast cameras to strengthen NBS West Nile TV, formerly Host TV, and a complete 10kVA solar energy system to power our operations sustainably.

This support will also contribute to the smooth growth of Capital West Nile FM and Daily West Nile, as we transition into mainstream media.

We sincerely thank Enable Uganda and the Government of Belgium for their continued partnership. Over the years, Enable has invested over UGX 100 million in our vision to empower youth and drive media innovation in West Nile.

Together, we are building the future of media in West Nile.

Today, we were honored to host the Enabel team for an insightful conversation as they introduced us to the programme and its vision for strengthening digital and green entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, access to finance, and Africa–Europe collaboration.

At Host Hub Innovation Centre we had the opportunity to share our journey, programmes, and ongoing efforts to support young entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups to turn ideas into sustainable businesses and create meaningful impact in our communities.

We are excited about the opportunities that AEDIB 2.0 presents and look forward to building stronger partnerships, unlocking new opportunities, and contributing to a more inclusive and thriving innovation ecosystem.

A big thank you to Enabel and the AEDIB 2.0 team for the engaging and insightful conversation. We look forward to what lies ahead.

We confirm the development as official communications follow.

Today, as Host Hub Innovation Center, we look back to 2019, when we began our digital media innovation journey through Host Media, with a mission to champion positive stories and change the digital narrative about West Nile.

That journey gave birth to Daily West Nile, followed by Host TV—now NBS West Nile TV—and Host Radio—now transitioning into 92.7 Capital FM West Nile.

From changing the narrative to building platforms that amplify West Nile, the journey continues.

Today, we sit down to reflect, innovate and brace for the future.
