ICS was founded and registered under Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) on 24th October 2018 as a company Limited by Guarantee and incorporated with Limited Liability. The organization is registered with National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations under the Ministry of Internal Affairs with registration number MIA/NB/2019/07/2411. The Vision of ICS is ‘’ A world where children, yout
h and women are recognized, protected and supported to attain their rights to survival, positive development, and inclusive participation’’. The purpose of ICS is the implementation of socio-transformation activities and projects in the context of both development and humanitarian aid (response). The organization was formed particularly to complement the efforts of the Government, to deliver child protection with a focus on prevention and response to child abuse, neglect, violence, and exploitation, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Youth targeted services, and economic empowerment of women in the communities. To achieve the desired empowerment and transformation, ICS works through her sectors of; Protection, Education, Psychosocial Support, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Sustainable Livelihood, and Environment. Our target groups are smallholder farmers, agro-enterprises, women groups, Adolescent girls and young women, children under the age of 18 years, school-going children i.e. We pay special attention to the most vulnerable including women, people with disabilities, and people living with AIDS. We work with both refugees and host communities in urban and rural settings.
