Today, we had the privilege of participating in the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency’s Civil Society Organization Marketplace, held at the UNHCR Arua office. It was a great opportunity to engage with delegates from UNICEF Uganda and share insights into our work across both humanitarian and development interventions.

We were also pleased to connect with colleagues from GIZ-Uganda and various private sector players who were in attendance.
A big appreciation to UNHCR for organizing this valuable platform and for the continued capacity-building support.

Chandiga Isaac is one of the many participants gaining hands-on catering experience through the project, implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe Uganda with funding from the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)
Chandiga has now secured a position as a waiter at Garden View Restaurant – Ediofe in Arua City—an inspiring step toward the success this project is designed to foster.

We are excited to see Chandiga excel and grow in his passion at his new workplace.

True impact is a collective effort. We were therefore deeply appreciative to be recognized by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) as a compliant taxpayer during the taxpayer appreciation week.

The conversations with the Assistant commissioner AGNES NABWIRE ASOBOLA FCCA and her team at our head office in Arua City reinforced a core belief: NGOs are not separate from the national development landscape; we are integral to it. Our commitment to tax compliance is a commitment to our shared responsibility in building a prosperous and stable Uganda.

This acknowledgment fuels our dedication to not only serving communities directly but also to strengthening the national systems that support them.
