Action for Development of the Local Communities -ADOL ADOL is governed by a seven member Board of Directors (5 women, 2 men Currently, ADOL programmes cover the sub-regions of Karamoja, Acholi, Lango and West Nile.

Action for Development of the Local Communities (ADOL) is fully legally registered with the National NGO Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs, registration number MIA/NB/2001/002/3155. ADOL is governed by a seven member Board of Directors (5 women, 2 men) while the technical team comprises of the Executive Director and 8 other full-time staff and 15 volunteers at community level. Vision: The visio

n of ADOL is, “all people in Uganda especially northern Uganda have skills, knowledge, resources and technologies to free themselves from poverty and sustainably improve their socio-economic status. Mission: “ADOL exists to efficiently and effectively provide, support, promote and implement integrated community development interventions that enhance the knowledge, skills and rights of the poor communities mainly in northern Uganda to sustainably utilize the available resources and services. Some projects have been implemented in Central Uganda Kampala district. Interventions include Economic empowerment including climate change adaptation; Capacity Building for sustainable development; Human Rights and Peace building (observance, protection and promotion of human rights, land governance, etc), as outlined below:



1. Economic Empowerment: Reducing rural poverty through providing social capital for sustainable livelihoods,
