Less than a week left until our wonderful Team Ukraine runs at the Hobart Marathon. We all run for a cause- to give the injured people a chance to save their limbs from amputation.

In January, we received an urgent request from the military hospital in Zaporizhzhia for bone fixation devices. Thanks to our marathon runners and fundraisers, we were able to cover this need in just four days 💪🏻 Thank you!

Message from the CEO

Last September I traveled to all three hospitals that USF works with through the Save the Limbs mission. Meeting people face to face always gives a much deeper sense of what we’re achieving together — the real impact, the growing needs, and the new challenges each hospital is facing every day.

We talked about the logistics, the quantities and quality of the medical implants we supply, and what could be improved to better support medics working under such harsh, life-threatening conditions — with little time, constant pressure, and the danger of drones always nearby.
I received a very positive feedback on the quality of medical implants, made by a local manufacturer HB Ortho💪🏻

For every Ukrainian, Australia feels like a paradise somewhere far, far away. For everyone I met, knowing that there are people on the other side of the world who genuinely care — who go out of their way to help those fighting for their right to live — is incredibly moving and gives them a powerful sense of hope and strength.
There are so many reasons for us all to be proud of what we achieve together, and it’s so important to keep going!

Update: Zaporizhzhia. Expanding Support for Frontline Hospitals.

200 x External Bone Fixation Devices were manufactured in Ukraine and delivered over the period of July&August 2025.

We’ve recently added a new hospital to our care list—one that is not only extremely busy but also vital to the survival of countless lives. Its location is perilously close to the frontline, placing both staff and patients under constant threat. Despite the risks, this hospital continues to operate as a lifeline in the region, providing urgent medical care where it’s needed most.

Supporting this facility is now a top priority. Its role cannot be overstated, and neither can the dangers it faces. Your continued help makes a real difference here—more than ever.

Thanks to the enormous efforts of all our runners this year, we are now in the process of compiling a broader list of bone reconstruction implants to better meet the urgent needs of our newest hospital near the frontline.

This hospital is playing a critical role in saving lives under the most challenging conditions, and your continued support helps us adapt quickly and effectively.

Stay tuned for more updates as we expand our efforts to match the realities on the ground.

To all the wonderful runners and supporters: thank you for your tireless fundraising efforts, for your preparation in crossing the finish line no matter the difficulty of the race. Your enthusiasm and determination are truly inspiring!
