Friends, help us rebuild our home

Friends, help us rebuild our home We want to earn funds to rebuild our home destroyed by the war. We offer online greetings, festive programs, and other services. Now, it’s gone.

Share our message to help us find clients and take a step closer to our dream! Help Us Restore Our Home Destroyed During the War in Ukraine

My name is Serhii, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help. I live in Ukraine, in the town of Makariv, which was heavily affected during the Russian invasion. In March 2022, our family home was destroyed. This was the place where my wife, our two little dau

ghters, and I built our life together—a place filled with memories and dreams. We’ve already started rebuilding the house with our own savings: we laid the foundation, built the walls and roof, and completed some interior work. However, we’ve run out of funds. To finish the construction, we urgently need the help of kind-hearted people. Unfortunately, Ukraine doesn’t have access to fundraising platforms like GoFundMe, which are widely used to gather support. That’s why we are looking for a volunteer or someone compassionate living in a country where GoFundMe is available (such as the U.S., Canada, or Europe) to help us create a campaign on this platform. How Can You Help?

1. If you live in a country where GoFundMe is accessible, you can assist us by creating a fundraiser on your account on our behalf. We will provide all the necessary photos, documents, and stories to verify our situation and demonstrate full transparency.

2. You can help share information about our campaign in your social circles and social media to help us reach more people. Why Is This Important? The war has turned our lives upside down, but we haven’t lost hope. This house isn’t just a building—it’s a place where our daughters can feel safe again, where we can rebuild our lives. We need $31,700 to purchase materials to complete the construction. Every donation will go directly to rebuilding our home, and we are committed to providing full transparency and reports for every dollar spent. How to Contact Us? You can reach me via email at [email protected] or by phone at +380962118856.

We are also open to arranging a video call or correspondence to answer any questions you might have. In Conclusion

Your help can truly change the future of our family. If you are willing to help or know someone who can, please contact me. With your support, we can bring our family home back to life and give our daughters a safe and loving place to grow up. Thank you for your time, kindness, and compassion!

March 23, 2022 – The Day Our Home Disappeared

We found out from a satellite image. Just a dark, burning spot. A few pixels—and an entire world we had built over years was gone.

It wasn’t just walls. It was a home where our children laughed, where we dreamed, made plans, lived. In a single moment, all of it turned to ashes.

We survived. We didn’t give up. We returned and started from scratch. With our own hands, without help, without financial support. But time and strength are not infinite. We've done everything we could. And now, we can't go on without you.

Today marks three years since that day. Three years of fighting for the right to simply have a roof over our heads.

Please support us! Even sharing this post is a step toward our dream. Maybe through you, this story will reach those who can help.

We Lost Everything. But We Are Not Giving Up.

Before February 24, 2022, we were an ordinary family. I was a construction engineer, my wife was a children's entertainer, and together we were raising two daughters, building our business, and dreaming about the future.

Then, in an instant, our lives were destroyed. The war came to our land, and we were forced to flee—leaving behind everything: our home, our work, our plans, even our children's favorite toys. We escaped under shelling, packed into an old van—the only vehicle we had fuel for. We drove for 28 hours westward, not knowing what the future would bring.

My wife and children went to Poland, but life as refugees was even harder. Finding housing was nearly impossible for a woman with two kids. The children cried constantly, feeling lost. Even relatives made it clear they weren’t truly welcome. In the end, they returned to me—because no matter what, home is where family stays together.

When Kyiv region was liberated, I returned to Makariv. But where our home once stood, there were only charred ruins. Our cars were destroyed or stolen. The yard was littered with shrapnel and landmines. We didn’t just lose a house—we lost a part of ourselves. But the hardest part was telling our children. Their tears, their panic, their heartbreak—it was the most devastating thing I have ever witnessed.

But we chose to fight for a new life. We started organizing children's events, bringing joy to others who had also endured the horrors of war. We began rebuilding our home with our own hands, as there was no aid for those who had lost everything. We worked day and night, spending every last cent, saving on everything we could.

Today, we live in a single small room inside our unfinished house. We sleep on mattresses, eat on the floor. But this is OUR home, and we believe we will finish it.

We are not asking for luxury. We just want a roof over our children's heads. Every dollar you give is another brick in our home, another step toward a normal life.

Please, help us rebuild what the war took away.

Pit

You walk, but the ground beneath your feet crumbles. You run, but the wind pushes you back. You scream, but the world is deaf.

There is only silence. And this pit.

You didn't fall into it — it grew beneath you. It stole your home, your support, your strength. And now it watches you, waiting for you to give up.

But you stand. On the very edge.

And it hurts so much that even the air cuts from the inside. And the emptiness is such that even your own voice gets lost in it. And the exhaustion is such that all you want is to close your eyes and disappear.

But you won't disappear.

Because even in the pit, there is sky. Because even when no one hears you — you exist. Because even when you have no strength — your heart keeps beating. It’s hard for you. And there’s no "right" way out, no magical answer. But you are here.

From Ruins to Hope: Our Family’s Story

Our home was destroyed by war, leaving behind only walls of silence and memories covered in dust. But even in the darkest days, we held onto hope — the hope that kindness still lives in the hearts of people near and far.

With your support, we are slowly rebuilding not only our house but our dream — to once again bring joy to others. For years, our family has created magic for children — organizing birthday surprises, celebrations, and heartwarming greetings in colorful costumes.

Now, we want to thank everyone who supports our journey. Every donor will receive a personalized video greeting from our family — a small piece of the joy we’ve always shared with the world.

Together, we can turn loss into hope, and hope into new memories — filled with smiles, laughter, and kindness.

With all our love and gratitude,
The Shepelev Family

📢 Help Us Spread the Word! 🙏

Dear friends,

We need your support—not just financially, but also by helping us share our story. Right now, it's crucial for as many people as possible to learn about our journey and the challenges we are facing.

We have created a page where we share updates and progress on our project. If you can, please share our page with your friends, in groups, or on your own profile. A simple share can help us reach people who might be willing to support us in this difficult time.

We have always tried to manage on our own and never had to ask for help before. But now, we realize that we can’t do this alone. Your support means everything to us—it’s not just help, it’s a reminder that together, we can overcome anything.

Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for being part of our journey!
