🇮🇹🇺🇦 We are grateful to see our recent Convoy 2026 fundraising event featured in the Italian press.

Convoy 2026 is a joint initiative supporting the delivery of ambulances, medical vehicles, and essential medical supplies to Ukraine. It builds on last year’s effort, when ambulances and pick-up trucks were driven from the UK to Kyiv and then sent on to communities and medical teams that needed them most.

This year, together with our British partners, volunteers, and supporters, we hope to continue this important work and bring more practical medical support to Ukraine.

🙏🏻 Please consider supporting Ukrainian Medical Charity through the link in bio and help us send more ambulances and medical aid to Ukraine.

Another evening of support, solidarity, and practical help for Ukraine 💙💛

Recently, a fundraising event was held in support of Convoy 2026 — a joint initiative with Ukrainian Medical Charity focused on sending much-needed vehicles and ambulances to Ukraine.

These vehicles help medical teams, volunteers, and frontline communities reach people faster, evacuate the wounded, deliver supplies, and continue their work in extremely difficult conditions.

The event was kindly organised with the support of Father Paul Kennedy, the City livery companies, and Oksana Lovochkina, Founder of Ukrainian Medical Charity, with wonderful coordination by Marta Franchuk, Inna Soldatenko, and Iryna Donenko.

We are deeply grateful to our British partners who continue to stand with Ukraine through real action — fundraising, organising, supporting logistics, and helping make these deliveries possible.

During the event, Father Ihor from Kryvyi Rih spoke about the mission behind this work, and our Fundraising Coordinator, Tanya Hebert, joined online to share more about the project and ongoing efforts to deliver vehicles to Ukraine.

Every ambulance, every vehicle, and every journey to Ukraine is the result of many people choosing to care and act.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this important work 🙏🏻

Last year, our first charity marathon, Miles for Independence, brought together people from different countries to support the Pediatric ICU at the Institute of Children and Adolescents Health Care in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Over 35 days, together we raised £3,613. Thanks to the marathon, the hospital received:

• SN-50C6 Infusion Pump
• SN-1600V Infusion Pump
• Progetti Rescue SAM Semi-Automatic AED Defibrillator
• Drive DeVilbiss 1025 10 Litre Oxygen Concentrators

This equipment is now being used by doctors to provide urgent care for children in intensive care.

But critical gaps still remain. Current ICU priorities include:

• Expert-class mechanical ventilator S1100A
• Brightfield Healthcare V12i multiparameter patient monitor

That is why Miles for Independence has become an annual Ukrainian Medical Charity marathon dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day.

This year, it will take place from 21 July to 24 August.

You can run, walk, cycle, swim, hike, work out, or support the campaign through a donation. Every mile and every contribution helps bring vital medical equipment closer to children in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Medical Charity is always grateful to see Ukrainian organisations and partners working to help those affected by the war.

Recently, our volunteer Justin visited Kharkiv and saw the work of Citizen Charity Foundation through one of their medical partners. This Ukraine-based charity provides rehabilitation and care for veterans with complex injuries, and today we would like to share one of their important initiatives.

Their current campaign is raising funds for Andrii Syzon, a Ukrainian veteran who suffered a shrapnel injury to the head in 2023 and is now living with partial paralysis on his left side. He urgently needs a specialised neurological rehabilitation programme to help him regain movement, independence, and everyday function.

The fundraising goal is $2,200, and even a small donation can make a real difference.

At UMC, our main focus remains supporting frontline hospitals and medical workers in Ukraine. But we also believe that Ukrainian initiatives helping wounded defenders deserve attention and solidarity.

If you are able to help, please consider donating via GlobalGiving: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/rehabilitation-for-a-paralyzed-ukrainian-defender

Thank you for supporting Ukraine and those who continue to rebuild their lives after injury 🙏🏻🇺🇦

Miles for Independence is back 💙💛

This summer, Ukrainian Medical Charity is launching a 35-day global charity marathon to support children’s healthcare in Ukraine.

From 21 July to 24 August, people around the world can join in any way they can — by walking, running, cycling, swimming, hiking, working out, or simply donate.

You do not need to be a professional athlete. You do not need to be in a specific country or city. Every activity matters, and every mile helps.

This year, all funds raised will support critical Intensive Care Unit equipment for Kharkiv Children’s Hospital in Ukraine.

Why join?
▪️ You can take part from anywhere in the world
▪️ Any activity counts
▪️ You become part of a global community moving for Ukraine
▪️ Your participation helps support children who need urgent medical care

You can register for the marathon, join our Strava community, or donate directly via JustGiving.

Move for Ukraine. Every mile matters.

The second delivery of medical aid to support our long-term partners at the .ukraine is now on its way to Ukraine 🇺🇦

On Thursday, Gavin from Simon Brake’s Mighty Convoy team collected another load of supplies from the Ukrainian Medical Charity as part of our joint ambulance journey to Ukraine.

The aid includes medical consumables, mobility aids, and other essential items that will help support medics and hospitals in frontline regions.

The CMA works through its volunteer hub in Lviv and helps coordinate requests from hospitals and medical teams in areas including Kharkiv, Sumy, and Dnipro.

We are very grateful to be part of this joint effort with Simon Brake and the Mighty Convoy team, CMA’s David Sawday, Alex Turnbull and his team, who collected the load for CMA on Wednesday last week, and everyone involved in making these deliveries possible.

Thank you also to our UMC volunteers, who spend so many hours sorting, listing, packing, and preparing each box before it can begin its journey.

Every shipment is a team effort — and every box helps bring practical support closer to those who need it most 💙

If you would like to support future deliveries, please consider making a donation. Your contribution helps us send more essential medical aid to Ukraine.

Another medical aid shipment is on its way to Ukraine 🇺🇦

Recently, Ukrainian Medical Charity prepared supplies for our long-term partners at the Християнська медична асоціація/Christian Medical Association of Ukraine, who work through their volunteer hub in Lviv and support hospitals and medical teams across Ukraine, including frontline regions.

The delivery includes medical consumables, defibrillators, surgical equipment, mobility aids, and medication.

The aid will travel with UK volunteer teams heading to Ukraine, including vehicles and ambulances going to frontline medical teams 🚑

Thank you to the Christian Medical Association, David Sawday and team, Simon Brake and Mighty Convoy, Alex Turnbull, and everyone helping make this delivery possible.

Partnerships like this are how support reaches the people who need it most.
