💙💛 Благодійність, яка має обличчя, руки й дуже конкретний результат
Сьогодні, 5 вересня, — Міжнародний день благодійності. І саме сьогодні хочеться згадати одну дуже теплу, камерну зустріч, яка відбулася минулої суботи у Львові.
До нас завітали друзі з Німеччини — Ротарійці, які приїхали не з порожніми руками. У рамках спільного з німецько-українською організацією «Синьо-жовтий хрест» (Blau-Gelbes Kreuz) проєкту підтримки українських перинатальних центрів вони привезли 9 інкубаторів та реанімаційних систем для новонароджених. Цього разу обладнання було передано Клініці матері і дитини Університетська лікарня ЛНМУ імені Данила Галицького.
За цим результатом — велика робота багатьох людей. Активна підтримка Ротарі-клубів Німеччини — РК «Брюль», РК «Герцогтум Лауенбург» та РК «Гамбург», а також Лінди Май, засновниці й голови німецько-української організації «Синьо-жовтий хрест» із Кельна. Саме вона є важливим комунікаційним містком між німецькою та українською сторонами й допомагає перетворювати добрі наміри на реальні проєкти.
Іноді ця допомога має ще й дуже буквальний вигляд: німецькі ротарійці приїжджають як волонтери-водії, власноруч доставляючи медичне обладнання та автомобілі швидкої допомоги українським лікарням.
У Львові цю зустріч співорганізував наш Ротарі клуб «Львів-Ратуша». До неї долучилися Президент та член Правління клубу Олег Косьмина, Секретар та член Правління Олена Лукачук, член Правління та пристав Наталія Абашина, член Правління та голова комітету з питань членства Іванна Мищишин, голова комітету сервісних проєктів Андрій Бейзик та голова комітету співпраці з Фундацією Ротарі Галина Бондарук.
Також учасниками зустрічі стали асистент губернатора Дистрикту 2232 Богдан Паращук (РК «Львів-Замок») та представники українських Ротарі клубів: РК «Київ-Столиця», РК «Запоріжжя-Хортиця», РК «Івано-Франківськ», РК «Львів», РК «Львів-Замок», РК «Львів Інноваційний», РК «Львів Княжий» та РК «Львів-Центр».
Важливою частиною зустрічі стала поїздка до Клініки матері і дитини. Директорка Клініки, професорка Катерина Шатилович разом із командою провела українську та німецьку делегації кампусом. Один із нових інкубаторів презентували та показували безпосередньо у відділенні інтенсивної терапії новонароджених. Говорили про обладнання, умови перебування пацієнтів, виклики лікування в умовах війни та критичних ситуацій, стан малюків і потреби підтримки їхньої життєдіяльності. Відбулася й офіційна передача всієї партії медичного обладнання.
А далі — розмова про те, що буде після цього. Про наступні проєкти. Про потреби лікарні.
Про нові можливості співпраці. Бо справжня благодійність не закінчується моментом передачі обладнання. Вона починається там, де люди вирішують залишатися поруч.
У другій половині дня відбувся дружній Ротарійський обід за участі представників Ротарійської родини зі Львова, Києва, Івано-Франківська та Запоріжжя. За одним столом говорили про діючі проєкти, ділилися досвідом і напрацьовували нові ідеї. Без зайвої офіційності — просто по-людськи, тепло й товариськи.
Дякуємо нашим німецьким Друзям-Ротарійцям і всім Ротарійцям світу, які в цей непростий для України час стали для нас справжніми друзями, надійними партнерами та благодійниками, на яких можна розраховувати.
За довіру. За небайдужість. За конкретні справи. За обладнання, яке приїжджає до українських лікарень, за волонтерів, які долають тисячі кілометрів, за час, сили й ресурси, вкладені у допомогу Україні. Бо справжня благодійність — це не лише про те, що ти віддаєш. Це про те, що ти залишаєшся поруч тоді, коли це найбільше потрібно.
І як добре знати, що в України є такі друзі. Друзі, які не просто говорять: «Ми з вами», а запитують: «Що вам зараз потрібно?» — і роблять. Саме в цьому і є справжня сила Ротарі — об’єднувати людей, країни й добрі наміри навколо справ, які рятують життя і змінюють світ на краще 💙💛

💙💛 Charity that has a face, helping hands, and a very real impact
Today, September 5, is the International Day of Charity. And today feels like the perfect moment to look back on a warm and truly special gathering that took place in Lviv last Saturday.
We were delighted to welcome our friends from Germany — Rotarians who arrived with much more than kind words. As part of a joint project with the German-Ukrainian organization Blau-Gelbes Kreuz (Blue-Yellow Cross) to support Ukrainian perinatal centres, they brought nine incubators and neonatal resuscitation systems. This time, the medical equipment will be donated to the Mother and Child Clinic of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University University Hospital.
Behind this result is a great deal of work by many dedicated people. The initiative has received the active support of German Rotary Clubs — Rotary Club Brühl, Rotary Club Herzogtum Lauenburg and Rotary Club Hamburg — as well as Linda Mai, founder and chair of the German-Ukrainian organization Blau-Gelbes Kreuz in Cologne. Linda serves as an important bridge between the German and Ukrainian sides, helping turn goodwill and solidarity into concrete projects. Sometimes that support is very literal: German Rotarians also volunteer as drivers, personally delivering medical equipment and ambulances to Ukrainian healthcare facilities.
In Lviv, the gathering was co-organized by our Rotary Club Lviv-Ratusha. The club was represented by President and Board Member Oleh Kosmyna, Secretary and Board Member Olena Lukachuk, Board Member and Sergeant-at-Arms Nataliia Abashyna, Board Member and Membership Committee Chair Ivanna Myshchyshyn, Service Projects Committee Chair Andrii Beizyk, and Rotary Foundation Committee Chair Halyna Bondaruk.
The event was also attended by Bohdan Parashchuk (Rotary Club Lviv-Zamok), Assistant Governor of District 2232, as well as representatives of Ukrainian Rotary Clubs: Rotary Club Kyiv-Capital, Rotary Club Zaporizhzhia-Khortytsia, Rotary Club Ivano-Frankivsk, Rotary Club Lviv, Rotary Club Lviv-Zamok, Rotary Club Lviv Innovative, Rotary Club Lviv Kniazhi, and Rotary Club Lviv-Centre.
One of the most meaningful parts of the visit was our trip to the Mother and Child Clinic. Professor Kateryna Shatylovych, Director of the Clinic, together with her team, welcomed both the Ukrainian and German delegations and showed us around the hospital campus. We spoke about the equipment, patient care and living conditions, the challenges of providing medical care during wartime and in critical situations, the condition of newborns, and the vital support they need in the most fragile moments of their lives. The visit also included the official handover of the medical equipment brought by the delegation, including a new neonatal incubator.
And then came the conversation about what happens next. About new projects. About the hospital’s needs. About new opportunities for cooperation and support.Because true charity does not end when equipment is handed over. It begins when people decide to stay involved.
The second half of the day brought us together for a friendly Rotary lunch, with members of the Rotary family from Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporizhzhia. Around one table, we talked about ongoing projects, exchanged experiences and developed new deas — in a warm, informal and genuinely friendly atmosphere.
A heartfelt thank you to our German Rotarian friends and to Rotarians around the world who, during these incredibly difficult times for Ukraine, have become true friends, reliable partners and supporters we know we can count on. Thank you for your trust. For your compassion.
For turning solidarity into action. For the medical equipment that reaches Ukrainian hospitals, for the volunteers who drive thousands of kilometres, and for the time, energy and resources invested in helping Ukraine.
Because true charity is not only about what we give. It is about choosing to stay by someone’s side when they need it most. And how reassuring it is to know that Ukraine has friends like these. Friends who do not simply say, “We stand with you,” but ask, “What do you need right now?” — and then act. Perhaps this is the true strength of Rotary — bringing people and countries together, turning goodwill into action, and uniting around causes that save lives and make the world a better place💙💛
