A New Book on Counter-Disinformation Systems in Ukraine
We are proud to announce the publication of Counter Disinformation System Development in Ukraine by Springer, a new volume examining Ukraine’s experience in building resilient, effective and democratic systems to counter disinformation in an era of information warfare.
The book draws on Ukraine’s experience since 2014 and brings together legal frameworks, strategic communications, media literacy, cybersecurity, fact-checking, institutional cooperation and international partnerships. It also explores the role of AI and digital platforms, early-warning and rapid-response mechanisms, and the safeguards needed to protect democratic values while countering malign information influence.
The book is authored by:
Anatolii Marushchak, Anayit Khoperiya, Mykola Balaban, and Stanislav Petrov.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the authors for their expertise, dedication and contribution to this important international discussion.
We are especially proud that the idea and overall editorial vision of the book belong to Professor Anatolii Marushchak, Strategic Adviser to the International Information Academy (pro bono) and co-founder of the Academy. His long-standing work at the intersection of information and cyber law, disinformation and information security has been instrumental in advancing the Academy’s mission.
For the International Information Academy, this publication represents more than an academic achievement.
