This week, we held negotiations with the management of a large Italian construction company interested in entering the Ukrainian market and establishing a branch there.
Besides Italy, the company has experience participating in infrastructure construction projects in Albania, Romania, and Africa under UN programs.
The company's main focus is the construction of roads, bridges, industrial facilities, and warehouses.
Several years ago, the head of the company visited Ukraine on a business trip and noted the potential of the Ukrainian market.
The Italians were interested in issues of organizing and running a construction business in Ukraine in today's conditions, participating in tenders, registering a company, taxes, investing and withdrawing capital, the labor market, hiring personnel, conditions for purchasing and leasing machinery and equipment, and obtaining permits for construction work, development of project documentation, fixed and one-time costs, and other topics.
We discussed the situation in the Ukrainian construction industry, the experience of similar companies, the risks, the most preferable areas for developing such businesses, and some legal and administrative aspects of the activity.
The parties agreed to continue contacts, prepare responses to the questions asked, and provide information on the above.

From October 14 to 16, 2025, the large-scale 22nd International Specialized Exhibition "Power Engineering for Industry" – 2025 is taking place at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The exhibition features stands and modern equipment from companies from Ukraine, China, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, Sweden, Japan, the USA, France, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, Bulgaria, and other countries.
This year the main areas and topics are electricity generation and storage, distribution systems, metering systems, energy saving, electrical, energy equipment for power plants, substations, nuclear wind, solar, hydroelectric power plants ,power transmission lines, heating networks, power supply systems of enterprises, industrial lighting, means of automation of technological productions of energy and industrial facilities, IT, Сybersecurity.
The International Congress of Power Engineers is being held as part of the business program.
Representatives of Ukrainian and foreign financial companies and banks, international and domestic financial institutions, diplomatic missions are also participating in the exhibition, presenting their investment and financing programs.
We held meaningful negotiations with several representatives of foreign and Ukrainian companies interested in finding promising partners in Ukraine and abroad, and determining optimal cooperation schemes, financing options, increasing the investment attractiveness of their projects, and assessing risks and the specifics of the Ukrainian market.
We agreed to continue the dialogue beyond the exhibition.

On June 28, 2025, in Istanbul, within the framework of the Global Transport Forum, a bilateral Agreement on international road transport between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Morocco was signed.
The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach and Minister of Transport and Logistics of Morocco Abdessamad Kayouh (Qaiouh).
This is the first agreement between Ukraine and an African country on road transport.
The agreement provides for the implementation of cargo transportation, the opening of regular and irregular passenger services between the two countries, and also regulates transit issues.
To work out the working points, it is planned to create a bilateral mixed commission.
The Kingdom of Morocco is among the 5 largest trading partners of Ukraine in Africa after Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya.
In 2024, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Morocco amounted to USD 283.4 million.
At the same time, Ukrainian exports amounted to 160.4 million dollars. USA, imports from Morocco – USD 123 million).
Morocco sells to Ukraine phosphates and phosphorus fertilizers, sulfur, citrus and other fruits, tomatoes an other vegetables, dates, fish, seafood and canned fish, clothes, salt, other goods.
The main items of Ukrainian exports to Morocco are ferrous and non-ferrous metals, food products (wheat and other grains, animal feed, sunflower seeds), sunflower oil, to***co products, and some types of energy and mechanical engineering products.
In recent years, Morocco, with its more than 37 million population, has been developing rapidly and dynamically.
As experts note, Morocco is quickly becoming a major automaker.
Thus, by the end of 2023, more than half a million cars were produced in the country, including Renault-Nissan, Peugeot-Citroen and other brands.
There are modern large oil and gas processing plants, plastics and fertilizer production, electric power plants, and port infrastructure.
The medical industry and universities are developing.
Together with China, Morocco plans to create a large plant for the production of lithium batteries.

At the request of an Italian company - a manufacturer of self-propelled small-sized platforms for work in orchards and vineyards - we conducted an analytical study of the Ukrainian market.

As we have seen, these platforms allow to significantly speed up and facilitate harvesting, and also help farmers to cultivate orchards and vineyards, transport crops, tools and chemicals, have a telescopic lift and can move between rows and on slopes.
Another advantage is its cross-country ability, the ability to work in rain and snow.
They are distinguished by their ease of use, maneuverability, and sufficient load capacity.
A valuable quality is the use of a simple reliable engine, as well as the ability to move on public roads.
The Italian company has been supplying these and other machines to various EU countries for many years.
They became interested in importing to Ukraine, where, as they learned, there has been a rapid development of gardening and vegetable growing in recent times, and new orchards of apples, pears, apricots, plums, peaches and other crops are being planted
On behalf of our Italian partners, we conducted a study of this segment of the Ukrainian market, customs,environmental and transport legislation, and the competitive environment. We interviewed Ukrainian experts and specialists, importers of similar agricultural machinery.
We also discussed warranty and post-warranty service issues, distribution conditions, tax and preferential regimes, credit and financing conditions.
We selected potential buyers and distributors, organized online meetings between Italians and the Ukrainian side.
We separately discussed the possible risks and difficulties that importers who are not familiar with the current situation in Ukraine may encounter, as well as ways to solve them.

We passed on our results, recommendations, comments and wishes to the Italian side.

At the request of major Israeli food importer, we conducted analytical study of the Ukrainian market of producers and exporters of sunflower and rapeseed (canola) oil.
We held negotiations with Ukrainian producers and logistics companies, studied prices and various shipping conditions and supply routes to the customer's port (FCA, FOB, DAP, DDP), mutual settlements, certification, including Kosher/Halal, quality and payment guarantees, price dynamics.
Taking into account the preferences of buyers of leading Israeli retail chains, we discussed the design and types of packaging, volumes, label design, other characteristics of products, etc.
The results of the research and negotiations, our conclusions and recommendations were passed on to the Israeli customer.
