Thanks to Eric and those involved in the US shipping over re-purposed fishing net which we use as counter-drone netting at unit level to protect lives and assets. Another two containers on the way soon. πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

This is Oleg from Azov 3rd Assault. He is the recipient of the 2nd wheelchair donated by Joanne in Canada via Brent and DUFC Defend Ukraine Foundation - Canada. Very moving and again bitter sweet. He is extremely thankful to the people of Canada and this mobility is a huge quality of life multiplier. Thanks Brent, thanks Joanne and cheers to Max for a great hand overπŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺπŸ™πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦. We wish Oleg another Warrior who has given all, the best moving ahead. πŸ‘ŠπŸ«‘πŸ«‘

Was an unusual load this one, but with a great story - saving and relocating memorial plants from Kramatorsk to Kyiv. Sustain Ukraine was asked if we could assist on the mission with relocating some pines and some potted plants, to save them from destruction.

These plants were a gift from Toretsk Hospital, south of Kostyantynivka, which after it was destroyed, relocated what equipment they could rescue and began operating out of Kramatorsk Hospital. The plants were just about to be put in the ground to say thanks to the legends working in Kramatorsk, but it was decided to take them to Kyiv and make a memorial there, one hospital to another to say thanks.

The plants are now safely in Kyiv and will be planted in the next day or so and grow to symbolise the bond between these two hospitals and the legendary staff who have stayed as long as they can in Kramatorsk to keep the only full service hospital left running, servicing a huge region.

We are proud to have helped with this task and hope to visit and watch the trees grow and know what they symbolise.πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺπŸ™πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

On the go for 3 days with almost zero sleep, dropping off aid in the Donbas. Roads are tough after winter, lots of damaged vehicles along the way, we suffered a puncture as well, but all ended well. P2P guys recovered their SUV as well and towed it back to Kyiv.

Selection of pictures here including unloading counter drone netting from in the US, food from and Brent and P2P delivering items including food and hygiene. Will not name the units, but at least 5 benefitted from the drop offs. πŸ‘πŸ’ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Another great combined mission involving the guys from Person to Person (P2P), getting aid to near front areas in the Donbas over the last few days. The combined team using three vehicles delivered food, counter drone netting, emergency lamps, clothing, tow ropes to the East and South-East and recovered and relocated some items back to Kyiv from Kramatorsk. Units from at least 4 Brigades were supported and a drone team. Thanks to Defend Ukraine Foundation - Canada and Brent for the food, including tinned tuna, thanks to in the US for the netting and to private donors for items including the emergency lamps and clothing.

Working together means mutual support in areas that get harder to access weekly. The P2P guys conduct some of their own tasks as do we while on a joint run, but both organisations work to support each other across those tasks. Another great team effort, thanks to the donors and thanks to those who donated toward the fuel and operational costs.

Pictures loading in Kyiv prior to heading off on the road East.

Thanks again from the Warriors in the Rubizh unit for the counter-drone netting we have provided them in recent months and weeks. You can see the netting in this picture strung overhead to provide cover as they go about their logistical tasks including replenishment.

For those new to the concept of counter-drone netting, it is forms of netting erected overhead to protect life and assets. It can be used at unit level or for dugouts, bunkers, vehicle and weaponry scrapes and positions and to protect civilian infrastructure as well. On a larger scale the netting is rolled out to create 'drone corridors' literally in an attempt to protect hundreds of kilometres of roads and infrastructure from drone attack.

The netting we use is solid, re-purposed deep sea fishing nets sent to us from the US and Canada. We always thank Brent Defend Ukraine Foundation - Canada as one of the early pioneers of repurposed netting for use in Ukraine. He has sent tonnes of netting since 2022 and it has saved lives and assets. More recently Eric in the USA has also sent an initial container load of mixed netting to test as a pilot project, so thanks to both from us and Ukrainian Warriors.

If anybody can source sturdy repurposed netting in their countries of origin, please reach out to us to discuss options.πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

SPRING-SUMMER CAMPAIGN 2026

As winter continues to ease and conditions change across Ukraine, operational needs on the ground shift rapidly. Sustain Ukraine is launching our Spring-Summer Campaign 2026, focused on sourcing and delivering priority aid directly where it’s needed most.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who continues to support our work β€” donors, volunteers, logistics partners and supporters around the world. Your ongoing commitment allows us to remain flexible and responsive. Together, you help us get the right things, to the right people, at the right time.

Our approach remains simple and effective: we respond to real requests from the ground. We work directly with unit commanders, hospitals and medical teams, evacuation groups and community leaders to identify what is genuinely needed. This ensures aid is targeted, relevant and immediately useful.

Through our network based out of Kyiv, we source, transport and distribute without long warehouse delays. Your support helps us deliver critical equipment, medical supplies and humanitarian aid efficiently and directly.

Help us to help Ukraine.
Every contribution β€” large or small β€” supports real-time operations and has an immediate impact.

See the attached flyer for critical, in demand items.

Thank you for standing with Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ

Warriors from the 100th Mechanised Brigade with a bundle of counter-drone netting from Eric in the USA. This re-purposed tensile deep sea fishing net is being used widely among units to protect lives and assets. There are different qualities going around and we try to ensure that the netting we receive and distribute is robust and strong. There is a strong demand for the netting given it has been used effectively in a number of roles. πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Waiting on the next shipment of items from Brent and Defend Ukraine Foundation - Canada which has already left. Load includes ICU ventilators, netting for counter-drone use, ex scuba tanks, fire fighter personal kit, including tops, bottoms, boots and helmets, among other things. This is container No.22 from Brent, awesome effort from his supporters/donors and himself πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ.

We also look forward to seeing Tom and Noel from Let's Help Ukraine coming out again from the US to lend a hand with distribution. πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦
