Вже третій рік поспіль Ротарі Клуб «Київ-Бальзак» разом із справжніми друзями-ротарійцями з усього світу дарує 15 дітям-сиротам та дітям, які втратили своїх батьків-героїв, незабутню можливість провести два тижні на оздоровленні у сонячній Франції.

Ця подорож — набагато більше, ніж відпочинок. Це можливість для наших дітей відкрити для себе дивовижну Францію: її узбережжя, гори, Атлантичний океан, багату культуру, неповторну французьку кухню та гостинність людей із великими серцями.

Французькі друзі щиро відкривають свої домівки й серця, даруючи дітям тепло, турботу та віру в майбутнє. Саме такі зустрічі повертають надію, допомагають відчути, що Україна є частиною великої європейської родини, де панують дружба, взаємна підтримка та людяність.

Разом ми створюємо для цих дітей спогади, які залишаться з ними на все життя, і доводимо, що добро не має кордонів.

🇺🇦💙💛 The second group of Ukrainian orphaned children has arrived in Belgium for a restorative holiday!

Another group of Ukrainian children who lost their parents as a result of the war has safely arrived in Belgium for a 10-day holiday and psychological recovery program.

This journey was made possible thanks to the incredible support of the Rotary family. We sincerely thank every Rotarian, donor, volunteer, and friend whose generosity helped make this life-changing experience possible.

The trip was organized by Rotary Club Kyiv-Balzac (Ukraine). During their stay, the children will be cared for by Belgian Rotarians, who have prepared a warm welcome and an inspiring program filled with friendship, activities, and unforgettable memories.

The journey was long and challenging, involving buses, trains, and flights. But the children have now safely arrived and are ready to enjoy ten peaceful days away from the realities of war.

For these children, this is much more than a holiday. It is an opportunity to smile again, make new friends, feel safe, and simply be children.

💙💛 Heartfelt thanks to the entire Rotary family. Together, we are bringing hope, healing, and brighter days to Ukraine’s children.



🇺🇦💙💛 Le deuxième groupe d’enfants ukrainiens orphelins est bien arrivé en Belgique pour un séjour de repos !

Un nouveau groupe d’enfants ukrainiens ayant perdu leurs parents à cause de la guerre est arrivé en toute sécurité en Belgique pour un séjour de 10 jours consacré au repos et au rétablissement psychologique.

Ce voyage a été rendu possible grâce à la formidable solidarité de la famille rotarienne. Nous remercions chaleureusement tous les Rotariens, donateurs, bénévoles et amis dont la générosité a permis d’offrir cette belle opportunité aux enfants.

Le voyage a été organisé par le Rotary Club Kyiv-Balzac (Ukraine). Pendant leur séjour, les enfants seront accueillis et accompagnés par les Rotariens de Belgique, qui leur ont préparé un programme riche en découvertes, en amitié et en moments inoubliables.

Le trajet a été long et exigeant : bus, train, avion… Mais les enfants sont désormais arrivés à destination, où ils pourront enfin profiter de quelques jours de paix, de sécurité et de joie.

Pour eux, ce voyage représente bien plus que des vacances. C’est l’occasion de retrouver le sourire, de créer de nouveaux liens, de se sentir protégés et de vivre, tout simplement, comme des enfants.

💙💛 Un immense merci à toute la famille rotarienne. Ensemble, nous apportons de l’espoir, du réconfort et un avenir meilleur aux enfants d’Ukraine.

Treasurer of Rotary Club Kyiv-Balzac, Yuliia Lefter, attended the Rotary Club West Ottawa ceremonial meeting marking the presidential handover.

We sincerely thank our partner club for its long-standing friendship, strong support for Ukraine, and collaboration on humanitarian projects. This international partnership allows us to bring meaningful help to those who need it most.

We congratulate the new leadership of Rotary Club West Ottawa and wish them a successful Rotary year filled with inspiring initiatives and impactful service.

A new batch of generators for Ukraine. 🇺🇦

These generators were purchased in Ukraine through the support of Rotary clubs and are now being delivered to kindergartens, schools, and community institutions across the country.

Light That Overcomes Darkness: 40 Years After Chernobyl and New Trials for Ivankiv

It has been 40 years since the Chernobyl disaster — April 26, 1986. A date that forever changed Ukraine and left a deep mark on the world. Chernobyl became a symbol of tragedy, loss, and incredible human courage.

Four decades later, these lands have faced hardship once again. The town of Ivankiv, located in the Chernobyl region, experienced another трагедію — occupation during the full-scale war. Until April 2022, the community lived under occupation, but it endured. Ivankiv was liberated, and life continues.

Today, 1,279 children aged 6 to 17 study at Ivankiv Lyceum No. 2. This is a generation growing up with both the memory of the past and the challenges of the present. Despite everything, children continue to learn, dream, and grow.

However, daily life remains difficult: frequent power outages, cold classrooms, and unstable learning conditions. In such times, support matters more than ever.

That is why Rotary, together with partners, donated a generator to Ivankiv Lyceum No. 2. This is not just technical support — it is a symbol of care, solidarity, and belief in the future.

Thanks to this generator, the school once again has light and heat. It means lessons can continue, children can study in safer and more comfortable conditions, and teachers can carry on their vital work.

In these difficult and meaningful days, we remember the Chernobyl tragedy and honor all those affected. At the same time, we see the strength of life — in children who keep learning, in communities that rebuild, and in people who support one another.

We continue to bring light — not only in a physical sense, but in people’s hearts.

Because even after the darkest times, light always returns.
