Foundation of Regional Initiatives All-Ukrainian youth NGO, which aims to strengthen the youth movement across the country by giving active young people opportunities to develop and learn.

All-Ukrainian youth NGO “Foundation of Regional Initiatives” (FRI) is a powerful support center for youth movement, youth organizations and preparation of young leaders in Ukraine. Our main goal is to strengthen the youth movement across Ukraine by giving active young people opportunities for learning and development. FRI is an independent non-governmental organization. It does not support any of

the political parties or political leaders; neither it participates in the electoral process. Formal definitions aside, we are pretty easy to recognize. We are ordinary young people, unlikely older than 30 years old. Moreover, we are strong-willed individuals who desire to bring positive changes to the community. That is why we dedicate our free time to abolishing anti-student resolutions and bills, organizing flash-mobs right on central squares, helping orphans and speaking with the most influential people in Ukraine on equal terms. We learn from the best people and are always ready to share our knowledge with everyone. Now there are more than 450 members in FRI from all over Ukraine. In 2021 we implemented more than 150 local initiatives in our branches, both online and offline. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes to the world and become a new challenge for us. We are proud to say that we definitely did not give up! That was the time for our acquired experience to come in handy. Now FRI broadly uses all means of online-communication due to the critical thinking skills, flexibility and the common sense of unity. We have successfully implemented a wide range of online-projects and got adapted to a whole new world. The activity of FRI is based on 7 cornerstones every member needs to value and follow. They are equality, awareness, responsibility, trust, mutual support, mutual respect and patriotism. These values give a greater understanding of our mission and chart our way towards bigger accomplishments. They help us encompass activities on both local and state levels and create a better future for Ukraine.

📢 FRI starts 2025: results of the Conference on 11-12 January

We started the year 2025 in Kyiv at the FRI Conference together with delegates from 15 branches.

The first day saw the election of governing bodies and the approval of key amendments to the Statute. The second day was devoted to the role of FRI and FRI in the war, as well as the concept of internal mentoring and the presentation of FRI’s strategy research.

✨ Congratulations to the newly elected members of the national leadership! 🤝 We wish you inspiration, confidence and new achievements in these responsible positions!

🕊 We have also reserved seats for those who could not be with us because of the war: those who died, those who are in captivity or are missing. We remember each and every one of them.

At the Conference, we raised more than 40 thousand during the auction, and we believe that together we will be able to increase this amount.

Our Ukrainian team proudly took part in the Erasmus+ youth exchange project “Cultural Bridges Across Europe” in Lithuania! This unforgettable initiative brought together participants from six countries—Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine—to explore cultures, traditions, and creative expression.

Throughout the program, we actively engaged in workshops, cultural evenings, and interactive sessions, sharing our unique Ukrainian heritage through traditional food, music, and dance. It was a chance to connect, exchange ideas, and promote solidarity across borders.

One of the highlights was preparing a collaborative musical performance symbolizing unity and respect for diversity. We singed the variations od Italian song «Bella chao» on our languages.

We are grateful for the opportunity to represent Ukraine and for the warm hospitality of our Lithuanian hosts! Together, we proved that art and dialogue truly build bridges across nations.

19 November 2024 marks exactly 1,000 days since Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.
Despite the unimaginable challenges and hardships faced, the spirit of the Ukrainian people remains unbroken. Each day is a testament to our courage and determination to fight for freedom and peace. Let us stand in solidarity, honor the Ukrainian journey, and continue to support the path to recovery and harmony.
