🌱 “The greenhouse is her safe place.”
This is Vira, a mother of six 👩👧👦. She grew up an orphan and is now raising her children in a rented home after fleeing conflict in eastern Ukraine. Her husband stayed behind to care for the family’s small farm 🚜.
They live simply — depending on the vegetables they grow to survive 🥕🍅. But thanks to a greenhouse installed by our partner, Freeway Kyiv, everything has changed.
The greenhouse not only provides food for Vira’s children... it gives her something more: a spot to retreat and feel peace and hope 🌸🕊️.
This year, 1️⃣5️⃣ families like Vira’s have received greenhouses — giving them the ability to grow their own food, feed their children, and take one more step toward healing and stability.
