Сьогодні хочу детальніше розповісти вам про наш крайній різдвяний реліз. Цього віскі вже немає в продажу, але його історія варта уваги.
Blair Athol 13 y.o. CarolBellsUA — цей реліз присвячено популярній різдвяній колядці, в основі якої лежить українська новорічна пісня «Щедрик».
Неймовірно, але «Щедрик» відомий у всьому світі під іншою назвою — Carol of the Bells, а також як один із саундтреків до фільму «Сам удома».
Ідея створення цього віскі-релізу народилася ще взимку 2023 року після перегляду документального фільму від Суспільного. Дуже рекомендую до перегляду — ви будете вражені історією «Щедрика». Не буду спойлерити — подивіться! Не пошкодуєте. Краще, ніж у цьому фільмі, я не розповім. Посилання залишу в першому дописі.

Вибір віскі Blair Athol для цього релізу невипадковий. Усі ми знаємо шотландський бленд Bell’s — його назва походить від прізвища засновника, Артура Белла (Arthur Bell). Водночас слово bell англійською означає «дзвін». Сам виробник помітив цю аналогію та вже давно випускає серію керамічних декантерів у формі дзвоника. А односолодовий віскі Blair Athol є основою рецепту бленду Bell’s.

Friends, Merry Christmas to everyone!
Today I would like to tell you more about our latest Christmas release. This whisky is no longer available for sale, but its story is well worth telling.
Blair Athol 13 y.o. CarolBellsUA — this release is dedicated to a popular Christmas carol, which is based on the Ukrainian New Year’s song “Shchedryk.”
It is incredible that Shchedryk is known all over the world under a different name — “Carol of the Bells” — and also as one of the soundtracks of the film “Home Alone.”
The idea for this whisky release was born back in the winter of 2023 after watching a documentary film by Suspilne (Ukraine’s public broadcaster). I highly recommend watching it — you will be amazed by the story of Shchedryk. I won’t spoil it — just watch it! You won’t regret it. I couldn’t tell this story better than the film does. I will leave the link in the first post.
By the way, on the back label of every bottle of Blair Athol 13 y.o. CarolBellsUA there is a QR code linking to this film.
The choice of Blair Athol whisky for this release was not accidental. We all know the Scottish blended whisky Bell’s — its name comes from the surname of its founder, Arthur Bell. At the same time, the word bell in English means “a bell.” The producer noticed this analogy long ago and has been releasing a series of ceramic decanters in the shape of a bell. The single malt Blair Athol is the backbone of the Bell’s blend.
One hundred years ago, Shchedryk was already fighting for Ukraine — and it is fighting again today. Stay tuned for reports on support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
