🇩🇪 Deutsche Welle побували в телемедичних центрах на Херсонщині

💻 Телемедичні центри дозволяють мешканцям деокупованих та прифронтових громад отримувати консультації вузькопрофільних лікарів, не виїжджаючи за межі своєї громади.

Адже війна не скасовує потребу в медичній допомозі, а телемедицина дозволяє не залишати цю потребу без відповіді.

За понад два роки роботи телемедичні центри в прифронтових громадах довели свою ефективність і практичність та щодня допомагають людям отримувати необхідну медичну допомогу.

🤝 Завдяки підтримці уряду Німеччини та Європейського Союзу ми маємо змогу створювати сталі рішення, які продовжують працювати навіть після завершення проєкту.

Дуже цінно, коли міжнародні медіа висвітлюють рішення, народжені як відповідь на виклики війни. Дякуємо DW українською за можливість показати, як працює телемедицина, і поділитися досвідом її впровадження 🙏

💻 Telemedicine centres allow residents of de-occupied and frontline communities to access consultations with specialist doctors without having to leave their communities.

War does not eliminate the need for medical care, and telemedicine helps ensure that this need is not left unmet.

After more than two years of operation, telemedicine centres in frontline communities have demonstrated their effectiveness and practicality, helping people access the medical care they need every day.

🤝 Thanks to the support of the Government of Germany and the European Union, we are able to create sustainable solutions that continue to operate even after the project ends.

It is especially valuable when international media highlight solutions developed in response to the challenges of war. We are grateful to DW Ukrainian for the opportunity to show how telemedicine works on the ground and share our experience of implementing it. 🙏

🤝 The CASERS team took part in the partner organizations’ meeting “Shared Experience and Growth” held within the “Capable and Resistant: Sumy” programme

🌍 Over the course of three days, we joined partners from different regions of Ukraine to discuss the challenges facing the civil society sector, exchange practical experience, and explore solutions that help organizations implement projects more effectively.

📚 The programme also included sessions on strategic human capital management, trauma-informed leadership, team resilience, organizational capacity development, the implementation of international humanitarian standards, and Results-Based Management (RBM) — an approach that helps project teams focus not only on delivering activities, but on achieving meaningful outcomes for people.

💡 We are grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to participate! Meetings like these provide a valuable space to learn from peers, discover new approaches, strengthen partnerships, and return to our projects with fresh ideas and practical tools.

🤝 Команда CASERS долучилася до зустрічі партнерських організацій “Спільний досвід і зростання” програми «Спроможні та сильні: Суми»

🌍 Протягом трьох днів ми разом із партнерами з різних регіонів України обговорювали виклики громадського сектору, ділились практичним досвідом та шукали рішення, які допомагають реалізовувати проєкти ефективніше.

📚 У програмі також були сесії зі стратегічного управління людським капіталом, травмо-інформованого лідерства, психологічної стійкості команд, розвитку організаційної спроможності, впровадження міжнародних гуманітарних стандартів та управління, орієнтованого на результат (RBM) — підходу, який допомагає проєктним командам зосереджуватися не лише на виконаних активностях, а й на реальних змінах для людей.

💡 Дякуємо організаторам за можливість долучитися! Такі зустрічі — це чудова можливість перейняти досвід колег, знайти нові підходи, зміцнити партнерства та повернутися до своїх проєктів із новими ідеями й практичними інструментами.

🇬🇧 Telemedicine Through Patients' Eyes: The Story of Ms. Olena from Lyubymivka

👩‍⚕️ Ms. Olena from Liubymivka visited her local telemedicine centre for a consultation with a neurologist. During the appointment, the doctor carefully discussed her symptoms, medical history, previous treatment, answered all her questions, and provided recommendations for further examinations and treatment.

💬 “The doctor asked me everything and explained everything clearly. She broke it all down step by step — what examinations I need and which medicines I should take,” says Ms. Olena.

🏡 For many people living in frontline communities, travelling to a regional hospital or a larger city is difficult. Long distances, transportation costs, and consultation fees often force people to postpone seeking medical care.

💬 “Many people in our village put their health on hold because they simply cannot travel, and it costs money. Without this consultation, I would have had to travel to Kryvyi Rih and pay for the appointment. Here, everything was simply wonderful!” ❤️

💻 Telemedicine centres are becoming an essential part of healthcare in frontline communities, helping patients receive timely consultations from specialist doctors without having to leave their community.

🇺🇦Телемедицина очима пацієнтів: історія пані Олени з Любимівки

👩‍⚕️Пані Олена з Любимівки звернулася до телемедичного центру на консультацію невролога. Під час прийому лікар детально розпитала про стан здоров'я, попереднє лікування, відповіла на всі запитання та надала рекомендації щодо подальшого обстеження й лікування.

💬 «Лікар усе розпитала та пояснила. Розклала все по поличках — що потрібно пройти і які ліки приймати» - ділиться палі Олена.

🏡 Для багатьох мешканців прифронтових громад поїздка до обласного чи великого районного центру — це складне рішення. Через відстань, вартість дороги та консультацій люди часто відкладають звернення до лікаря.

💬 «Наші люди в селі часто відкладають здоров'я, не звертаються нікуди, бо нікуди не можуть поїхати і на це потрібні кошти. Якби не ця консультація, мені довелося б їхати в Кривий Ріг, ще й консультація була б платна. А тут усе дуже чудово!» ❤️

💻 Телемедичні центри стають важливою частиною системи охорони здоров'я у прифронтових громадах — вони допомагають людям своєчасно отримувати консультації профільних лікарів без необхідності виїжджати за межі своєї громади.

❤️ Nearly 40% of telemedicine consultations in Sumy region are related to cardiovascular diseases

Telemedicine rooms in the Sumy region have been operating since March. During this time, we have seen that nearly 40% of all consultations are related to cardiovascular conditions. Most patients seek consultations with cardiologists and vascular surgeons.

🏥 These are exactly the specialists who are often unavailable in frontline communities. To access them, patients usually have to travel to another city, wait for an appointment, or postpone care due to the security situation.

⚠️ For people living with cardiovascular diseases, such delays can have serious consequences. Delayed consultations or treatment adjustments may lead to severe complications, including heart attacks, strokes, and other life-threatening conditions.

💻 Telemedicine has become an important part of the patient's care pathway. It enables people to receive timely consultations with specialized doctors directly within their own community—without the need to travel.

❤️ Близько третини телемедичних консультацій на Сумщині стосуються захворювань серця та судин

Телемедичні кімнати на Сумщині запрацювали у березні. За цей час ми бачимо, що майже 40% звернень — це консультації з приводу серцево-судинних захворювань. Найчастіше пацієнти звертаються до кардіолога та судинного хірурга

🏥 Саме цих спеціалістів у прифронтових громадах найчастіше немає. Щоб потрапити на консультацію, людям доводиться їхати в інше місто, чекати запису або відкладати візит через безпекову ситуацію

⚠️ Для пацієнтів із серцево-судинними захворюваннями така затримка може мати серйозні наслідки. Несвоєчасна консультація або корекція лікування може призвести до тяжких ускладнень — інфаркту, інсульту чи інших небезпечних станів

💻 Телемедицина стає важливою частиною маршруту пацієнта. Вона дозволяє швидше отримати консультацію вузькопрофільного лікаря прямо у своїй громаді

💚 Which specialists do patients most often consult through telemedicine rooms?

The most requested specialists are cardiologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, dermatologists, rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, ENT specialists, and vascular surgeons

These are exactly the specialists who are often unavailable in frontline communities. As a result, patients frequently have to wait for months or travel to another city just to receive a consultation

💻 Telemedicine expands the capacity of the local healthcare system. When a particular specialist is not available within the community, patients can consult them remotely. This helps bridge the shortage of specialized care while giving patients the freedom to choose the doctor they want to see

📈 Today, most telemedicine consultations are with specialists who are in the highest demand locally. At the same time, we are seeing that more and more patients are discovering that telemedicine offers access not only to cardiologists and neurologists, but also to dozens of other medical specialties

🤝 By bringing specialist care closer to patients, telemedicine makes timely consultations possible—without the need to leave the community

💚 До яких лікарів найчастіше пацієнти звертаються через телемедичні кімнати?

Найчастіше пацієнти звертаються до кардіолога, невролога, ендокринолога, дерматолога, ревматолога, гастроентеролога, ЛОРа та судинного хірурга.

Саме цих спеціалістів найчастіше бракує у прифронтових громадах. Пацієнти нерідко змушені чекати місяцями або їхати в інше місто, щоб потрапити на консультацію.

Телемедицина розширює можливості місцевої системи охорони здоров'я. Якщо потрібного спеціаліста немає у громаді, пацієнт може отримати консультацію дистанційно. Це допомагає компенсувати дефіцит вузькопрофільних лікарів і дає можливість пацієнту обрати фахівця, до якого він хоче звернутись.

📈 Наразі більшість звернень — до тих фахівців, яких найбільше бракує на місці. Водночас ми бачимо, що багато пацієнтів поступово відкривають для себе, що через телемедицину можна отримати консультацію не лише кардіолога чи невролога, а й десятків інших вузькопрофільних спеціалістів.

💻 Завдяки телемедичним консультаціям пацієнти можуть отримати доступ до вузькопрофільного лікаря значно швидше — не виїжджаючи зі своєї громади.

💬 Patient feedback helps us continuously improve the work of our mobile medical teams and telemedicine centres based on the real needs of the communities we serve.

📋 Every telemedicine centre has a dedicated feedback corner, where patients can leave comments, suggestions, recommendations, or report any concerns.

🤝 We regularly review and analyse all feedback received. This helps us better understand community needs, assess the quality of our services, respond promptly to concerns, and continuously improve the operation of our telemedicine centres.

🏥 This approach ensures that telemedicine is not only accessible, but also user-friendly, patient-centred, and responsive to the needs of people living in frontline communities. 💚

💬 Зворотний зв'язок допомагає нам вдосконалювати роботу мобільних бригад та телемедичних центрів відповідно до потреб пацієнтів.

📋 В кожному телемедичному центрі облаштовано куточок зворотного зв'язку, де можна залишити відгук, пропозицію, рекомендацію або повідомити про проблему.

🤝 Ми регулярно аналізуємо отримані відгуки. Це дозволяє краще розуміти потреби громад, оцінювати якість наданих послуг, своєчасно реагувати на зауваження та вдосконалювати роботу телемедичних центрів.

🏥 Такий підхід допомагає зробити телемедицину не лише доступною, а й зрозумілою, комфортною та орієнтованою на потреби пацієнтів.

🇬🇧 Our First Online Training for Nurses Working in Telemedicine Centres

🏥 In June, we held our first online training course, "Telemedicine in Nursing Practice: Algorithms, Patient Referral Pathways, and Scope of Application."

The training brought together nurses from CASERS telemedicine centres, as well as nurses and physicians from our partner healthcare facilities.

👩‍⚕️ The sessions were delivered by physicians who provide telemedicine consultations on a daily basis. They shared practical experience, patient preparation algorithms, specialty-specific approaches to telemedicine consultations, and best practices for collaboration between nurses and physicians.

📚 This training helps establish unified approaches to the work of telemedicine centres, improve the quality of consultations, and make healthcare services more accessible and effective for people living in frontline communities.

💚 We sincerely thank all of our physician speakers for sharing their practical experience with the participants, and the CASERS team for organising and delivering the training.

🏥 У червні ми провели перший онлайн-тренінг «Телемедицина у практиці медичних сестер: алгоритми, маршрутизація та межі застосування».

Участь у навчанні взяли медсестри телемедичних центрів CASERS, а також медсестри й лікарі партнерських закладів охорони здоров'я.

👩‍⚕️Спікерами стали лікарі, які щодня проводять телемедичні консультації. Вони поділились практичним досвідом, алгоритмами підготовки пацієнтів, особливостями дистанційних консультацій та взаємодії медсестри й лікаря.

📚 Таке навчання допомагає сформувати єдині підходи до роботи телемедичних центрів, підвищити якість консультацій та зробити медичну допомогу доступнішою та ефективнішою для мешканців прифронтових громад.

💚 Дякуємо лікарям-спікерам за практичний досвід, яким вони поділилися з учасниками, а команді CASERS — за підготовку та проведення тренінгу.
