«Лікарі провели консультацію та заспокоїли мене щодо мого здоров’я і здоров’я моєї дитини», — так відгукнулася пані Ольга, яка вперше прийшла з донькою до Мобільних клінік FRIDA на Дніпропетровщині.

Ольга давно чула про мобільні бригади лікарів, які регулярно приїжджають до Томаківки, та записатися на консультацію вирішила саме тоді, коли дізналася про можливість пройти спірографію — безпечне й безболісне обстеження, що допомагає оцінити функцію легень, зокрема їхній об’єм і швидкість повітряного потоку.

Жінку турбував постійний кашель її 4-річної доньки Олександри та часті нездужання дитини, тому потреба в консультації сімейного лікаря для родини була особливо важливою.

На жаль, у Томаківці Нікопольського району дістатися до лікарні непросто. Єдина автозаправна станція, яка залишилася в громаді, пошкоджена, транспортне сполучення є незручним, а місцеві жителі щодня живуть під загрозою атак дронів.

Під час візиту до мобільної клініки Ольга змогла отримати консультацію лікаря, а її 4-річна донька — пройти необхідний медичний огляд. Для родини це була не лише можливість перевірити здоров’я без тривалої дороги та додаткових витрат, а й отримати необхідну консультацію та подальший план дій.

“The doctors provided a consultation and reassured me about both my health and my child’s health,” said Olha, who visited FRIDA’s Mobile Clinics in the Dnipropetrovsk region for the first time together with her daughter.

Olha had long known about the mobile medical teams that regularly visit Tomakivka. She decided to book a consultation when she learned about the opportunity to undergo spirometry — a safe and painless test that helps assess lung function, including lung capacity and airflow rate.

Olha was concerned about her four-year-old daughter Oleksandra’s persistent cough and frequent illnesses, making a consultation with a family doctor especially important for their family.

Unfortunately, reaching a hospital in Tomakivka, Nikopol district, is not easy. The only gas station remaining in the community has been damaged, transportation links are limited, and residents live under the constant threat of drone attacks.

During her visit to the mobile clinic, Olha was able to consult a doctor, while her four-year-old daughter received the necessary medical examination. For the family, this was not only an opportunity to check their health without a long journey and additional expenses, but also to receive professional medical advice and a clear plan for further care.

У віддалених громадах медична допомога часто залишається недоступною через відстань, стан доріг і нестачу лікарів. Під час виїзду до села Нове Мажарове ми вкотре переконалися: для багатьох людей приїзд мобільної клініки — це єдина можливість вчасно отримати необхідну допомогу, не долаючи десятки кілометрів до лікарні.

Під час роботи мобільної клініки до наших спеціалістів звернулася 26-річна дівчина зі скаргами на біль у ділянці серця та задишку. Після кардіологічного обстеження патологій виявлено не було. Тоді за роботу взявся лікар фізичної та реабілітаційної медицини – спеціаліст провів міопресуру шийно-комірцевої та плечолопаткової зон. Після процедури пацієнтка відчула значне полегшення: «Наче камінь з грудей зняли. Я знову можу нормально дихати», — поділилася вона.

До команди звернулася і 75-річна мешканка села, яка протягом багатьох років мала проблеми з травленням — печію, важкість після їжі. Після консультації жінка отримала рекомендації щодо харчування, попередній діагноз та необхідні безкоштовні медикаменти. Для неї цей прийом став можливістю отримати медичну допомогу поруч із домом, не долаючи десятки кілометрів до найближчої лікарні.

Також за підтримкою звернулася працівниця місцевої школи. Через постійний стрес, тривогу та велике емоційне навантаження вона перебувала у стані виснаження. Після консультації спеціалісти діагностували розлад адаптації із синдромом професійного вигорання, надали рекомендації щодо лікування та забезпечили необхідними медикаментами.

In remote communities, medical care often remains inaccessible due to distance, road conditions, and a shortage of doctors. During our visit to the village of Nove Mazharov, we were once again convinced that for many people, the arrival of a mobile clinic is the only opportunity to receive the necessary care in a timely manner, without having to travel dozens of kilometers to the hospital.

During the Mobile Clinic visit, a 26-year-old woman came to our specialists with complaints of chest pain and shortness of breath. A cardiological examination did not reveal any abnormalities. The case was then addressed by our physical and rehabilitation medicine specialist, who performed myopressure therapy of the cervical-collar and shoulder-blade areas.

After the procedure, the patient experienced significant relief: "It feels like a weight has been lifted from my chest. I can breathe normally again," she shared.

A 75-year-old village resident also sought medical support. For many years, she had been experiencing digestive problems, including heartburn and a feeling of heaviness after meals. Following the consultation, she received dietary recommendations, a preliminary diagnosis, and the necessary medications free of charge. For her, this appointment was an opportunity to receive medical care close to home without having to travel dozens of kilometers to the nearest hospital.

A local school employee also turned to our team for support. Due to constant stress, anxiety, and significant emotional strain, she was experiencing exhaustion. After a consultation, specialists diagnosed an adjustment disorder with symptoms of professional burnout, provided treatment recommendations, and supplied the necessary medication.

Найбільша цінність нашої роботи — бачити зміни у житті дітей. А ще — отримувати такі теплі слова від тих, заради кого ми працюємо.

Для команди Little Hearts кожен дитячий будинок-інтернат — це не разовий візит, а довгострокове партнерство. Ми повертаємося знову і знову, щоб підтримувати дітей, допомагати їм отримувати якісну медичну допомогу, реабілітацію та відкривати нові можливості для розвитку.

«З медициною у нас не дуже добре, адже зараз немає жодного медичного пункту, куди люди могли б звернутися», — ділиться пані Оксана, яка завітала до Мобільних клінік FRIDA разом зі своїм 5-річним сином.

Родині доводиться їздити до лікарні у Вільнянську, але навіть там є не всі потрібні лікарі. На прийом потрібно записуватися заздалегідь і довго чекати своєї черги. Оскільки пані Оксана працює щодня, їй непросто знайти час, щоб відвезти до лікаря дитину дошкільного віку. Ситуацію також ускладнюють зростання вартості проїзду та небезпечна дорога, яка становить додатковий ризик для родини.

«На щастя, у наше село приїжджають ваші Мобільні клініки», — з усмішкою підсумовує пані Оксана. Під час візиту стоматолог уважно оглянув її сина, надав мамі рекомендації щодо догляду за дитячими зубами, а самій Оксані пролікував зуб.

Робота Мобільних клінік залишається надзвичайно важливою, адже для багатьох родин це можливість вчасно отримати необхідну медичну допомогу, не відкладаючи турботу про своє здоров’я.

"Healthcare access is very limited here because we no longer have a medical facility where people can seek care," says Oksana, who visited the FRIDA Mobile Clinics with her 5-year-old son.

The family has to travel to the hospital in Vilniansk, but even there, not all the specialists they need are available. Appointments must be booked well in advance, followed by a long wait. Since Oksana works every day, it is difficult for her to find the time to take her preschool-aged son to the doctor. Rising transportation costs and the dangerous journey make the situation even more challenging, posing an additional risk for the family.

"Fortunately, the FRIDA Mobile Clinics come to our village," Oksana says with a smile.
During their visit, the dentist carefully examined her son, provided Oksana with guidance on children's oral hygiene, and treated one of her teeth.

The work of the FRIDA Mobile Clinics remains critically important, as they provide many families with the opportunity to receive timely medical care without having to postpone looking after their health.

Щосереди команда Мобільних клінік працює у транзитному центрі в Харкові — місці, куди щодня прибувають люди, які були змушені покинути свої домівки через війну.

До нас звертаються мешканці Краматорська, Дружківки, Слов'янська, Куп'янської громади, Вовчанська, Великого Бурлука та інших громад Харківської й Донецької областей. Люди приїжджають виснаженими дорогою, часто після пережитих обстрілів, втрати житла або тривалого життя в небезпечних умовах. Багато хто залишився без сімейного лікаря, медичних документів і можливості придбати необхідні ліки.

Серед наших пацієнтів — Олена, яка евакуювалася до Харкова з Куп'янської громади. Жінка розповідає, що через постійні обстріли та поспішний виїзд довелося залишити не лише дім, а й можливість регулярно звертатися до лікаря.

«Коли приїхала сюди, навіть не знала, з чого почати. Дуже хвилювалася, бо залишилася без ліків і без своїх медичних документів. Тут мене уважно вислухали, оглянули, усе пояснили й дали необхідні препарати. Після прийому я вперше за довгий час відчула спокій. Дякую, що ви є», — ділиться вона.

Кожен такий прийом — це більше, ніж медична консультація. Це підтримка для людей, які пережили втрату дому, вимушену евакуацію та невизначеність. Це можливість зробити перший крок до відновлення здоров'я, відчути турботу й переконатися, що вони не залишилися наодинці зі своїми труднощами.

Every Wednesday, the Mobile Clinics team works at the transit center in Kharkiv — a place where people who have been forced to leave their homes because of the war arrive every day.

We provide support to residents of Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Sloviansk, the Kupiansk community, Vovchansk, Velykyi Burluk, and other communities in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. People arrive exhausted after their journeys, often having experienced shelling, the loss of their homes, or prolonged periods of living in unsafe conditions. Many have been left without access to their family doctors, medical records, or the ability to purchase necessary medications.

Among our patients is Olena, who evacuated to Kharkiv from the Kupiansk community. She says that due to constant shelling and the urgent evacuation, she had to leave behind not only her home but also the opportunity to regularly receive medical care.

"When I arrived here, I didn’t even know where to start. I was very worried because I had been left without my medications and medical documents. Here, I was listened to carefully, examined, everything was explained to me, and I received the necessary medication. After the appointment, I felt calm for the first time in a long while. Thank you for being here," she says.

Every such appointment is about more than just medical care. It is support for people who have experienced the loss of their homes, forced displacement, and uncertainty. It is an opportunity to take the first step toward restoring their health, feel cared for, and know that they are not facing their challenges alone.

Для багатьох із нас похід до лікаря — це звична справа. Записатися на прийом, здати аналізи, пройти обстеження чи зайти в аптеку по ліки можна за кілька годин. А тепер уявіть, що найближчий медичний заклад знаходиться за десятки кілометрів. Громадський транспорт ходить рідко або не ходить зовсім. Саме так сьогодні живуть тисячі людей у прифронтових громадах Дніпропетровської та Запорізької областей, і саме тому там працюють наші мобільні клініки.

Більшість наших пацієнтів приходять не одразу, коли з’являються симптоми. Спочатку вони сподіваються, що все мине само собою, потім відкладають візит через справи, а згодом просто звикають жити з дискомфортом, бо дістатися до лікаря не завжди так просто.

Тому для нас мобільні клініки 🚑 — це не лише про медицину. Це про можливість приїхати туди, де люди роками звикли розраховувати лише на себе, і надати їм доступ до того, що має бути доступним кожному: консультацій лікарів, обстежень, аналізів та необхідних ліків.

І найбільше нас тішить, коли після прийому люди кажуть, що чекали цього приїзду або радять мобільну клініку сусідам. Бо саме довіра пацієнтів показує, що ми рухаємося в правильному напрямку 💙🙏

For many of us, visiting a doctor is a routine part of life. We can book an appointment, get tested, undergo examinations, or stop by a pharmacy for medication within a matter of hours.
Now imagine that the nearest medical facility is dozens of kilometers away. Public transportation runs infrequently—or does not run at all. This is the reality for thousands of people living in frontline communities in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, and it is exactly why our mobile clinics continue to operate there.

Most of our patients do not seek medical help as soon as symptoms appear. At first, they hope the problem will go away on its own. Then they postpone a visit because of daily responsibilities. Eventually, many simply learn to live with discomfort because reaching a doctor is not always as easy as it may seem.
For us, mobile clinics 🚑 are about much more than medicine. They are about bringing healthcare closer to people who have spent years relying only on themselves and ensuring access to what should be available to everyone: medical consultations, examinations, diagnostic tests, and essential medicines.

What encourages us most is hearing patients tell us that they had been waiting for our visit or seeing them recommend the mobile clinic to their neighbors. Their trust reminds us that we are moving in the right direction 💙🙏

Це наша лікарка Анастасія Голубєва. Наша волонтерка. Наша частинка FRIDA.

Вона була з нами від самого початку. Одна з перших, хто приєднався до команди, хто їхав туди, де було найважче: Бахмут, Харків, перший рік повномасштабної війни. Вона була поруч із пацієнтами у найскладніші моменти й завжди була поруч із FRIDA.

Цієї ночі допомога знадобилася їй.

Після атаки росіян по Києву в її квартирі у Дніпровському районі вибило вікна, знищило автомобіль. Сама лікарка отримала осколкові поранення — уламки залишилися у спині та сідницях.

Її син тієї ночі був у бабусі. І саме думка про те, що він у безпеці, зараз дає їй сили триматися.

This is our doctor Anastasia Golubeva. Our volunteer. Our part of FRIDA.

She was with us from the very beginning. One of the first to join the team, who went to where it was most difficult: Bakhmut, Kharkiv, the first year of the full-scale war. She was next to the patients in the most difficult moments and was always next to FRIDA.

That night, she needed help.

After the Russian attack on Kyiv, windows were broken in her apartment in the Dnipro district, a car was destroyed. The doctor herself received shrapnel wounds - fragments remained in her back and buttocks.

Her son was with his grandmother that night. And it is the thought that he is safe that now gives her the strength to hold on.

Пацієнти на місіях нерідко нас приємно дивують: дякують за прийом авторськими віршами, приносять смаколики з городів, пишуть подяки тощо. Так нас здивував сором’язливий дідусь, який прийшов із зошитом, у якому для кожного нашого спеціаліста відвів окремі сторінки. Там він виписав результати всіх аналізів і запитання до лікарів, щоб нічого не забути 🥹

«Я записую все-все, коли вдається потрапити до ваших лікарів на прийом. Так мені вдається контролювати артеріальний тиск, рівень цукру та холестерину», — доповнює дідусь.

Такі історії ми привезли із Запорізької та Дніпропетровської областей, куди їздили цього місяця. Наші лікарі приймали людей майже безперервно: проводили консультації, виписували ліки, коригували подальший план лікування для кожного пацієнта та навіть видаляли новоутворення.

На жаль, ми побачили багато випадків онкології у жінок. Пацієнток скеровували до профільних фахівців, на додаткові обстеження та в окремих випадках — на оперативне втручання.

Нам важливо, аби після нашого прийому людина отримала необхідну медичну допомогу, чітко розуміла свій діагноз і подальший план дій. Саме тому ми приїжджаємо мультидисциплінарною командою з понад 20 фахівців, щоб допомогти всім — від найменших до літніх пацієнтів 💙

Patients on our missions often pleasantly surprise us: they thank our doctors with original poems, bring treats from their gardens, write heartfelt notes of appreciation, and more. One particularly touching encounter was with a shy elderly man who arrived carrying a notebook in which he had dedicated separate pages to each of our specialists. There, he had carefully written down the results of all his tests and a list of questions for the doctors so he wouldn’t forget anything 🥹

“I write down absolutely everything whenever I have the chance to see your doctors. It helps me keep track of my blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels,” he explained.

These are the kinds of stories we brought back from Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where we worked this month. Our doctors saw patients almost continuously: providing consultations, prescribing medications, adjusting treatment plans, and even removing skin lesions and other growths.

Unfortunately, we encountered many cases of cancer among women. Patients were referred to specialized healthcare professionals for further examinations and, in some cases, surgical intervention.

It is important to us that after visiting our team, each person receives the medical care they need, clearly understands their diagnosis, and knows what steps to take next. That is why we travel with a multidisciplinary team of more than 20 specialists, providing support to everyone — from the youngest children to elderly patients 💙
