In March 2026, Finnish Lions Suomen Lions-liitto ry donated 12 ambulances to Ukraine (and a total of 28 in 4 years!)

This is an remarkable help to the Ukrainian people, as thousands need emergency care every day due to injuries, crisis states over stress, etc. Moreover, ambulances (as well as medical facilities) are often the primary targets of attacks by the russian army, so they need to be constantly renewed. That's why these vehicles are so important ❤️‍🩹

So, Finnish Lions Clubs raised funds and bought ambulances, equipped them with all the necessary for work. Then a large, well-coordinated team of Lion volunteers leading by Jari Järvelä delivered them to Ukraine.
Lion Mark Lyon - International First Vice President was present when the cars were being prepared for departure, recording a fine video. Later Lion Serhiy met the team in Kyiv to express sincere gratitude on behalf of the Ukrainians and discuss future cooperation 🙏

It's great when Lions are united around their mission. We support each other, we serve, and together we will stand!

IPID Marcel Daniëls with colleagues from Lions MD112 - Belgium delivered a specialized bus for people with disabilities and handed it over to the rehabilitation center in Lviv, Ukraine 🙏

Hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine have special mibility needs. Even after the end of treatment, they have to visit hospitals and rehabilitation centers for regular examinations and procedures. Thus, such buses are needed in quite large numbers ❤️‍🩹

This is a noble cause of caring for those who really need it. Relatively inexpensive equipment helps a large number of people, and everyone sees the source of this help, because the Lions logo is always on the bus 🦁

According to current requests, 20 buses are being collected.
2 done, 18 more needed.
Let's help ❗️

This great humanitarian project both provides practical support and effectively promotes the Lions service. Please join, many more such vehicles are needed 🙏

No doubts that the russian efforts to cause a major humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine will continue. After the "cold devastation" attempt, according to the warning of the Ukrainian President and the Emergency Service, water supply systems will probably be attacked 💥
In fact, such attacks have happened regularly before, leaving millions of people without drinking water. Now they may intentionally focus on large cities to cause a major disaster ❤️‍🩹

Luckily, Lions have significant experience in water and WASH projects. In Ukraine, the basis of such projects in previous years was reverse osmosis systems and PAUL filters, which were mainly delivered during 2022-2024 🙏

This spring we should start preparing to overcome a probable massive water crisis in large Ukrainian cities 💧

~ 1️⃣8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Ukrainian medical facilities have been damaged or even completely destroyed by the russian army during these 4 years of war.
Here you can see the consequences of a recent strike on a Maternity Hospital (!) in Zaporizhzhia.

That's why a constant and very important humanitarian need in Ukraine is everything related to hospitals: equipment, beds, consumables, medicines, help with repairs...
