Candles, remnants of candles, empty food tins (washed and label taken off) and corrugated cardboard can be dropped off to The Crown Biggar.

Today our request is a little bit different from the items for baby boxes!

Can you help with the following items
🕯Candles
🕯Remnants of old candles
🥫Tins (washed and labels removed please)
📦Corrugated cardboard.

We work in partnership with the men's shed in Biggar creating what is known as trench candles. The request for these items has outgrown our supply of tins and candle wax.

We urgently are in need of the items to make these, to allow thoes on the front lines have ability to cook warm meals, stay warm and provide light.

These can be dropped of to your local hosts, or any of our hubs.

Thank you so much to the ladies of Dolphinton WRI with these fantastic donations collected for us to take to Ukraine. We loved showing you a presentation on our experiences in Ukraine. It was a pleasure.

Following is rough translation of what they are saying: Congratulations! Thank you very much to the children their parents and teachers of the biggar primary school for supporting the kherson families. In this difficult time, your help with groceries is not just basic necessities, but a real sense of care and humanity. It's very valuable to know that we are remembered and supported even from other countries. Your kindness is inspiring and empowering. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Long day yesterday after a full night of air raids, with everything we wanted to do completed. Distributed our aid and had chance to visit a Tatar family displaced from Crimea that our partners Red Poppy Foundation have helped for years. Really heart breaking to see how they are living but so humbling. Also met with a deputy mayor of unamed city who we discussed further help for the children in his city. We should get out and over the border today.
