"Because we care for cats that nobody cares for"
Felinus International vzw and Dobrokit join forces in order to rescue, spay and neuter homeless cats in the city of Cherkasy, Ukraine. Since 2018, Dobrokit is working closely together with a Veterinary Center "Vet Expert". Until today, 1.700 homeless cats have been spayed and neutered. Surgery was performed in case of an emergency. For many of these
cats, a new loving and caring home was found. Each year, an estimated 10.000 kittens are born on the streets of Cherkasy, many of which have no chance for survival. Without any available budget from the city, the region or the country, the Dobrokit volunteers are working hard to educate the public and to promote the spaying and neutering of homeless cats. All veterinarian interventions, material, food and daily operations are financed by donations. None of the volunteers is being paid for their hard work. Felinus International vzw is a non-profit CFA club in Belgium. Both organisations have decided to work together in an effort to help more homeless cats. Our joint efforts will start in the city of Cherkasy from where it will expand to other major Ukrainian cities all over the country. The ultimate goal of this cooperation is to raise funds in order to continue and expand all the great work that this group of volunteers is doing in helping the street cats in the Ukraine. If you want to help in any way, please reach out to us. Your support is needed and will be appreciated by the many volunteers and especially by the many cats in Cherkasy and in the rest of the Ukraine.
