🌍 PDS SUSTAINABLE VILLAGE — CREATING JOBS, REDUCING POVERTY
At PDS Zanzibar, our main priority is Job Creation and Poverty Reduction.
To achieve this, we are developing the PDS Sustainable Village — a community-based model that combines skills, education, income generation, recycling, sustainable agriculture, innovation, technology, climate action, girls’ empowerment and humanitarian support.
Our village currently has 5 key sections:
1️⃣ PDS Jobs Skills Center – Creating skills, employment and entrepreneurs.
2️⃣ PDS Recycling & Innovation Hub – Turning waste into valuable products and jobs.
3️⃣ PDS Humanitarian Aid & Community Development Center – Supporting vulnerable people and strengthening communities.
4️⃣ PDS Charity School – Educating children, building confidence, changing mindsets and developing future leaders.
5️⃣ PDS Children’s Home – Providing care, education and opportunities for vulnerable children.
🔄 Our sustainability idea
We are building income-generating activities including farming, poultry, eggs, vegetables, fruits, tailoring, handcrafts, recycling and eco-products.
The goal is simple: Skills → Jobs → Income → Investment → More Jobs → Poverty Reduction.
We want to move from dependency to opportunity — helping people become skilled, independent and able to create income for themselves and others.
🌱 This is a pilot model. If successful, we hope to replicate the Sustainable Village model in other communities.
🤝 WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTNERS!
Companies, organizations, foundations and individuals can join us in any area you are passionate about — from solar energy, eco-buildings, greenhouses and farming to recycling, education, skills, girls’ empowerment and children’s development.
You can also support our current needs, including a children’s playground, eco-product shops/tents and sustainable farming projects.
💚 Come and be part of building a village where people learn, work, create, earn and lead.
Together, we can create jobs, reduce poverty and build a sustainable future. 🌍
