Today we visited Kikungwi to check on our beehives 🐝

Unfortunately, we found five hives empty, with many pests inside. It was a disappointing moment, but also a strong reminder of the importance of proper hive management and pest control.

We keep learning and improving for better results 🌱

Protecting nature starts with small actions.

On the 2nd Tuesday of March 2026, We ( Zaveco )visited Kikungwi to commemorate World Wildlife Day through a practical bee hive inspection activity. 🐝

Bees play a vital role in biodiversity, pollination, and sustaining healthy ecosystems. Through this activity, we continue to promote environmental conservation, community awareness, and sustainable livelihoods.

Together, let’s protect wildlife and nature for future generations. 🌱🌍

Empowering Communities Through Mushroom Farming! πŸ„πŸŒ±

We have successfully completed a 4-day theoretical mushroom farming training in the villages of Kibele, Kikungwi, Unguja Ukuu and Cheju

The training focused on building knowledge and awareness on sustainable mushroom production as a pathway to food security, income generation, and environmental conservation.

We are proud of the enthusiasm, participation, and commitment shown by the community members throughout the sessions. This is a strong step toward self-reliance and green livelihoods πŸŒπŸ’š

Together, we grow knowledge. Together, we grow opportunities.

Today we inspected our beehives at Kikungwi β€” some colonies are growing strong, producing brood and early honey. Others need strong attention in management from hive pest especially hive beetles.
Every inspection brings us closer to healthier bees and a healthier environment. 🌍
Follow our journey as we protect nature.
