Mambo muhimu yakukumbuka unapoanza biashara :
Usisubiri uwe na kila kitu.
Anza na yale ya msingi.
Zingatia yaliyo muhimu. Boresha kadri unavyokua.

A valuable reminder from today’s business discussion:
Don’t wait until you have everything.

Start with what’s essential.
Focus on what’s important.
Improve as you grow.

Many successful businesses didn’t begin perfectly—they began consistently.

Yanalinda kila mtu pale mambo yasiyotarajiwa yanapotokea.
Usisubiri tatizo ndipo uanze kuweka mambo katika maandishi.

A startup founder shared two partnership experiences.
In the first business, he provided the capital while his partner handled production.
The products were sold.

The partner disappeared with the money.

In another venture, they had a written agreement in place.
When his business partner unexpectedly passed away, the agreement helped provide clarity and protect the business.

The lesson?
Partnership agreements aren’t just for disagreements.
They’re there to protect everyone when the unexpected happens.
Don’t wait for a problem before putting things in writing.

Faida zitagawanywa vipi?
Nini kitatokea endapo mmoja akitaka kujiondoa?
Je, hisa zinaweza kuuzwa kwa mtu mwingine?

Makubaliano yaliyoandikwa hayalengi kukosa kuaminiana.

—-------------------------------------

Many people plan how to start a business together, but only a few discuss the important matters early on.

Who is responsible for what?
How will profits be shared?

What happens if one partner wants to exit?
Can shares be sold to someone else?

Written agreements are not about lack of trust — they are about creating clarity and protecting all parties involved.

Recently, we were invited by the Zanzibar Startup Association (ZSA) to collaborate on the second edition of the ZSA Community Circle — this time focused on one of the most critical foundations of entrepreneurship: legal matters.

Together with founders, students, innovators, and entrepreneurs, we engaged in a powerful and interactive session hosted in collaboration with Inner-Works Consultants, exploring the real legal challenges startups face every day.

From business registration and founder agreements, to licensing, tax requirements, and formalizing operations — the conversation was practical, direct, and deeply relevant to building sustainable businesses.

A special appreciation to Mr. Taleeb Teebs Jussab for facilitating the session and creating an open space for learning and engagement.
