She is safe. And FGM continues to lose power and decrease in prevalence here in Tarime, Tanzania. Together, we were able to keep 147 girls safe, overnight, for the entire duration of the cutting rituals. It's been incredible to see so many people from all over the world coming together to keep these girls safe. From the brave Kuria women here in Tarime, to the Sunflower Foundation in Australia, to our dear friends from all over the U.S.A... none of us could have done this acting alone.
