🌱 Empowering schools for a greener tomorrow! 🌍💚

We are proud to have successfully completed a 2-day Training of Trainers (ToT) under the Sustainable Waste Management in Primary Schools Project at Chumbuni Primary School.

The training brought together 10 dedicated teachers from five primary schools—Chumbuni, Jangombe, Paje, Kizimkazi, and Mkunazini—to strengthen their knowledge and skills in promoting sustainable waste management within their school communities.

On the second day, we officially launched the project in the participating schools, with the Director of Primary Education from the Ministry of Education serving as our Guest of Honour.

By empowering teachers, we are inspiring the next generation to reduce waste, protect the environment, and create cleaner, healthier schools for all.

Together, we are building greener schools and a more sustainable future. 🌱♻️💚

🌍💚 Celebrating World Conservation Day through action!

Today, Kawa Environment joined ZAVECO and fellow partners in the U/Ukuu community for a meaningful day of environmental action—removing waste from our coastline and planting screw pines to strengthen our shores against coastal erosion. 🌊🌱

Every tree planted and every piece of litter collected is a step toward healthier ecosystems and more resilient communities. Together, we are proving that small actions can create lasting change.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered, partnered, and contributed to making this day a success. Let's continue working together to protect the natural beauty of Zanzibar for generations to come. 💚

🌍♻️ Today at the Kiswandui Waste Separation Station

This morning, our team successfully collected, separated, and weighed the waste. Together with the sweepers and Naktar, the Trig Circle driver, the recyclable materials were safely transported for proper handling.

The Kiswandui Separation Station is looking clean, organized, and full of well-separated recyclable materials. With waste being removed every morning, we’re making great progress toward a cleaner and more sustainable community. 💚🌱
