As we wrap up this university decision series from both campuses, we also wanted to make space to celebrate students whose plans may not have been reflected in our earlier posts.

Among this group are students heading to global university destinations including Italy, Ireland, Argentina, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, the UK, Australia and beyond, alongside students who are still undecided and others who have chosen to take a gap year before beginning their next chapter.

There is no single path after UWCEA, and that is something worth celebrating. Whether our students are heading straight to university, exploring opportunities outside the US, taking a gap year, or still deciding what comes next, we are proud of every one of them.

Thank you as well to the students who shared their plans with our community. This is only a small glimpse into the diversity of destinations and journeys represented across this graduating class.

To all our D2s, we are cheering you on every step of the way!

What you see here is just a small representation of where our D2s are headed next, with students preparing to begin exciting new chapters at universities and destinations around the world.

Some will also be taking a gap year before continuing on their own unique paths.

We are so proud of each and every one of them and wish them all the very best for the future!

Congratulations to our students who recently received funding through the UWC International Go Make A Difference Initiative for projects focused on creating meaningful impact in their communities.

Bernard, Elizabeth and Thomas were awarded $2,000 for their project “Stitching Futures,” which aims to improve school attendance and support economic independence among out-of-school youth in Mahenge, Morogoro through practical tailoring training. The skills learned will also be used to produce school uniforms for vulnerable children.

Our student Raziq together with a fellow student from UWC Atlantic for their project, “Her Craft, Her Art,” received $1,600 to support women in transforming handicraft skills into sustainable livelihoods through community-based training led by experienced craft professionals.

These projects reflect the creativity, compassion, and action-oriented spirit of our students as they work toward creating positive change beyond the classroom.

We are incredibly proud of their initiative and impact.

During a recent trip to the United States, our Moshi Campus University Counselor had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with some UWC East Africa/ISM alumni who are now at different universities across the US.

We are always proud to see our alumni thriving, growing, and making an impact around the world.

Last week, our P6 students at the Arusha Campus showcased their learning at the PYP Exhibition, sharing thoughtful ideas, creativity, and action-driven projects with the community.

The exhibition highlighted students’ curiosity, collaboration and growing understanding of real-world issues as they presented projects inspired by their learning journeys and interests.

They confidently shared their research and reflections with parents, staff, and fellow students.

At UWC East Africa, learning goes beyond the classroom through a wide range of Service opportunities that encourage students to engage meaningfully with their communities. 🌍

Through service, students collaborate with local partners, take initiative on projects, and develop a deeper understanding of social and environmental issues. These experiences build empathy, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose.

In March, creativity took center stage across both campuses as students shared their talents through the Arts Exhibition in Moshi Campus and the Festival of the Arts in Arusha Campus.

Students expressed their ideas, perspectives, and creativity in inspiring ways.

We celebrated not only artistic skill, but also confidence, collaboration, and the courage to share one’s voice.
