Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Njombe Town, DSDO was established by persons with di
sabilities to champion the rights, dignity, and socio-economic well-being of the deaf community and other marginalized groups. Our mission is to bridge the gap of inequality by improving livelihoods through enhanced access to resources, essential social services, and active community participation. We believe that deaf individuals possess the same rights and potential as any other member of society and should be empowered to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities. Addressing Systematic Barriers: DSDO works at the forefront of resolving unique challenges faced by our community, including: Communication & Information: Breaking barriers through sign language and accessible ICT. Education & Healthcare: Advocating for inclusive access to essential social services.Economic Empowerment: Tackling high unemployment and poverty through skills development.Social Inclusion: Eradicating discrimination and boosting self-esteem through rights awareness.
