On this World Environment Day, PADECO reaffirms its commitment to protecting the environment through community, centered and sustainable solutions. From promoting clean energy technologies, environmental conservation, and climate resilience to supporting sustainable livelihoods and ecosystem restoration, we believe that safeguarding our environment today is essential for improving lives tomorrow.

MWENGE WA UHURU ULIPITA LUDEWA, NA PADECO TULIKUWEPO! 🔥

Katika banda la Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Ludewa – Idara ya Maliasili na Utalii, PADECO Tanzania ilishiriki kikamilifu kuonesha mchango wake k**a mdau muhimu katika kukabiliana na mabadiliko ya tabianchi na kuimarisha utunzaji wa mazingira.

Tulionesha teknolojia ya majiko ya “Panda cookers”, bidhaa mbalimbali za misitu k**a asali, pamoja na kuonesha ushirikiano wetu wa karibu na Halmashauri na wadau wengine wa maendeleo. Msafara huu uliongozwa na Mkurugenzi wa PADECO, Bw. Wilbard Mwinuka, ambaye alisisitiza umuhimu wa suluhisho za vitendo zinazogusa maisha ya jamii moja kwa moja.

Kwetu sisi, maendeleo ya kweli si maneno tu, bali ni matokeo yanayoonekana, kushikika na yanayoboresha maisha ya wananchi. Tunajivunia kuendelea kuonesha namna jamii inapopewa kipaumbele, matokeo chanya yanaonekana kwa uwazi.

Kuboresha maisha ni msingi wa maendeleo. 🌿

Promoting circular economy practices and strengthening waste and water management systems are practical, scalable solutions for reducing climate impact and enhancing environmental sustainability.

At PADECO, we continue to support community-driven initiatives that integrate these approaches, particularly in Tanzania’s Southern Highlands, to build resilient and sustainable livelihoods.

Celebrating 15 Years of Participatory Development Concern (PADECO).

Over the past 15 years, PADECO has successfully delivered 35+ projects across more than seven sectors, working in partnership with 10+ donors and collaborators to advance sustainable development outcomes.

Our work has been deeply rooted in Tanzania’s Southern Highlands; Iringa, Njombe, and Songea, where we have supported communities through integrated interventions in environment, agriculture, energy, education, WASH, health, gender, and tourism.

As we mark this milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to scaling locally driven, evidence-based solutions that strengthen resilience and improve livelihoods.

We appreciate the continued collaboration of our partners and stakeholders as we look ahead.

Planting seeds for a greener future 🌱
PADECO supported tree planting initiative at Mchuchuma Secondary School, reinforcing our commitment to climate resilience and community-based environmental stewardship, by providing 270 fruit trees within the school environment.
The seedlings included:
🍊 100 Orange trees
🍋 100 Lemon trees
🥑 20 Avocado trees
🌿 50 Papaya trees

This initiative helps strengthen environmental awareness, food sustainability, and greener learning spaces for students.
We are grateful to the students and teachers of Mchuchuma Secondary School for their cooperation and energy in making this activity successful.
Together, we continue building resilient and sustainable communities.
