Watoto Wa Africa is a nonprofit organization started in 2000 by Josephat and Rosemary Kirutu and registered in 2006 as a Tanzanian NGO. Serving mainly as an orphanage, we focus largely on caring for orphans and vulnerable kids in Buswelu – an administrative area in Ilemela District of Mwanza – and giving them a chance to live a productive future. We currently cater to 93 orphans and street childre
n, providing them basic needs: shelter, clothing, food, water, and education. Our programs are joined by volunteers from across the globe who make a lasting impact on our children while enjoying cultural exchange at an affordable cost. Our volunteering opportunities come with transport service, accommodation, meals, and fun activities.
