Congratulations to Hussen from Singida, who has been trained at SMAM - SJS Organic Center for Excellence, Mwanga, in the Catholic Diocese of Same, Tanzania, as an LSP (Local Service Provider). He will support organic farmers through AgriClinics (consultancy services) and GBC (Green Business Center), an organic inputs micro-industry in the village.
With the invaluable support of Helvetas’ UKIJANI Project, a new grassroots Agroecology Farmers’ Input Support Team is being established through the LSP - AgriClinic - GBC Micro Industry model at the village level. This initiative will create youth employment in rural areas, reduce intra-country migration, promote zero-waste farming, strengthen the circular economy, rejuvenate soil health, and lower the carbon footprint.
I wish Hussen and his team great success in their journey!
Executive Director,
