At the East Africa Legal-Tech Symposium 2026 hosted by the University of Dar es Salaam, AJISO participated as a delegate, exhibitor, and panelist in discussions on advancing digital justice.

The sessions were centered around the urgent need for standardized, interoperable digital case management systems for paralegals and Legal Aid Providers. Effective implementation requires local customization, strong data protection, capacity-building, and sustainable funding to ensure long-term impact.

The symposium underscored that meaningful legal-tech reform must combine high-tech solutions with grassroots engagement to strengthen access to justice across East Africa.

At the Training Workshop for Leaders of CSO Networks in Arusha, we are engaging in three days of deep reflection and practical learning on Sustaining Collaboration for Effective Networking.

From surfacing our shared values and strengths, to understanding complexity in organizational processes, managing network identity and governance, and strengthening leadership skills for facilitating collaboration, this workshop is designed to move us from awareness to alignment and action.

We are exploring what effective networking looks like in today’s context, strengthening our capacity to steward shared purpose, and connecting our values to meaningful, sustainable impact.

Grateful to be part of a space where learning, dialogue, and collaboration are intentional — and where leaders of CSO networks are sharpening the skills needed to build resilient, purpose-driven partnerships.

Nanenane, celebrated on August 8th in Tanzania, is a significant event known as Farmers' Day. It serves as a platform for farmers, agricultural stakeholders, and the general public to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations, and discuss advancements in agriculture. The event fosters networking and collaboration among various agricultural players, including organizations like AJISO. For AJISO, participating in Nanenane provides valuable opportunities to learn about new farming techniques, explore potential partnerships, and advocate for the growth of women and youth groups involved in agriculture. This engagement aligns with AJISO's mission to empower these groups through sustainable agricultural practices, enhancing their economic independence and resilience.
