The Asali Project, together with Asali Travel and Simbaās Footprints Foundation, had the honor of hosting 16 Occupational Therapy masterās and doctoral students and two professors from California State University Dominguez Hills.
During their time here, students worked alongside doctors at KCMC Hospital, learning firsthand how occupational therapy treatments are thoughtfully adapted to fit local cultural contexts. They also gained valuable hands-on experience with incredible local organizations, including Songambele and CCBRT Hospital.
Weāre excited to see how this partnership continues to growāstrengthening local hospitals and organizations here in Tanzania while enriching the American studentsā educational experience through real-world, field-based learning. This exchange is about more than clinical skills; itās about shared learning, mutual respect, and building long-term collaboration. šš
