Most blindness in sub-Saharan Africa is preventable or treatable. For many patients, care is too far away or arrives years too late.

That’s why Eye Corps runs six permanent clinics in Tanzania, open year-round and led by Tanzanian doctors and nurses.

Transportation is one of the biggest barriers to eye care. For a lot of the people we serve, the nearest eye doctor is hours away — and a ride isn’t a given.

Our EyeCorps bus closes some of that distance, and where it can’t reach, we find another way.
