Fueling Economic Resilience & Women Empowerment!

As we step into a new month and approach the mid-year mark, we are thrilled to share the final sneak-peek of our exclusive series before our major upcoming releases.

In this release, we are shifting our focus to the power of sustainable economic empowerment.
Meet Maria, a proud beneficiary of our Dairy Cattle Program. This initiative equips vulnerable households with dairy cattle, enabling them to combat poverty from the ground up. By linking families to a local milk processing factory, it turns a daily resource into a thriving business.

"My heart is very happy after receiving my cow. I feel that my household is no longer poor, and I'll now be able to send my children to school. I thank TACCEI so much!"

Maria’s story is a brilliant example of how targeted investments create self-reliant, thriving communities.

In the next few days, we will share our 2025 Annual Report, showcasing our data-driven milestones, followed immediately by the release of our full-impact documentary, which highlights our work within the Maasai community in northern Tanzania.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our partner, FEMI, whose steadfast vision and support made this life-changing dairy initiative possible.

New partnership alert 📢!

We are truly honored and thankful to share that we've been awarded the Global Food System Challenge (GFSC) seed grant. This recognition for our project, Circular Dairy Byproduct Biofertilizer for Maasai Women-Led Gardens, marks an exciting and transformative milestone for our organization.

This project will complement our ongoing climate-smart homestead gardens, a key community initiative that has been supported by our committed, long-term partners. By introducing this eco-friendly biofertilizer, we are making significant progress in improving soil health, empowering Maasai women as leaders in sustainable farming, and promoting long-term community well-being.

We sincerely thank our partners, Welthungerhilfe and the Seeding the Future Foundation, for trusting in our grassroots efforts and helping us expand our impact.

This achievement belongs to our entire community, and we approach this new chapter with deep gratitude and a strong commitment to building a sustainable, resilient future where people and nature flourish together.

Meet Stephano!

Following our journey through the Simanjiro Plains with our founder, we are proud to bring you the third reveal of our exclusive sneak-peek series, shifting the lens directly to the community impact made possible by our supporters. In this reveal, we introduce you to Stephano, a pastoralist and a project beneficiary who shares the profound difference that targeted conservation funding makes:

"I woke up one morning to a devastating loss. Predators had taken eight of my livestock, including my essential breeding ram. It was a deeply painful moment that threatened my family's entire survival. But since TACCEI partnered with me to build a secure, predator-proof enclosure, I haven’t lost a single animal. Our future is secure."

Stephano’s triumph is a powerful testament to the tangible, on-the-ground transformation that occurs when local communities are properly resourced. As we approach our final reveal before the grand premiere, we will next share our 2025 Annual Report, showcasing the data-driven milestones of these initiatives, followed immediately by the full impact documentary. We extend our deepest gratitude to our vision-aligned partners, Caring For Conservation Fund
Play for Nature and FEMI, whose unwavering investments bring these critical conservation and livelihood solutions to life. Stay tuned as the report, and the big premiere are coming your way very soon.

“Resilience.”

That’s how our co-founder and GLFx Maasai Steppe Chapter Coordinator, Joshua Daniel Kuyatto, articulated his reflections on the recently concluded Global Landscapes Forum 2026 Conference, which took place in Nairobi.

As we celebrate 2026 as the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP), TACCEI is more committed than ever to our mission. During the conference, Joshua took the stage for "Smart Landscapes," highlighting how we bridge cutting-edge science and AI with the Indigenous Intelligence of our communities to secure a future for these vital ecosystems.

In the Maasai Steppe of northern Tanzania, we work side by side with Maasai pastoralists to restore degraded rangelands and improve local livelihoods. For us, healthy grasslands aren’t just a conservation goal, they are the foundation of community resilience and heritage.

A heartfelt thank you to our long-standing partners at Global Landscapes Forum. Your continued funding and technical support allow us to scale our impact and empower the true stewards of the land.

Together, we aren’t just dreaming of a resilient future, we are building it. 🌍

Empowering Communities, Protecting Wildlife!

Meet Stephano, a dedicated pastoralist from the Tarangire-Manyara Ecosystem. For years, Stephano lived in constant uncertainty, facing the devastating reality of human-wildlife conflict. Before partnering with TACCEI, the threat of predators was a monthly crisis.

"I used to lose up to ten livestock every single month to predators," Stephano shares. "Since receiving this fortified enclosure, I haven’t lost a single livestock. My family is secure, and our livelihood is protected."

By constructing predator-proof enclosures, we are building true resilience. These structures eliminate livestock loss and secure the economic future of pastoralist families while simultaneously preventing the retaliatory killing of wildlife. This successful impact is made possible through the unwavering commitment of our partners, including FEMI, Play for Nature, and the Caring for Conservation Fund, whose regular support remains vital to our mission.

We invite you to join us in securing a future where both wildlife and people thrive. Your support directly funds the materials and labor required to expand these enclosures across our landscape, creating a lasting impact for generations to come. From Vulnerability to Vision: Scaling Climate Resilience in Terrat!

At TACCEI, we believe that conservation thrives when communities do. Through the visionary support of FEMI, we’ve launched a transformative dairy initiative in Terrat, providing a path to resilience for five households most impacted by climate change.

These dairy cows are more than a resource; they are a lifeline. By connecting families to the local milk processing factory, we are securing a future where children stay in school, healthcare is accessible, and nutrition is guaranteed.

The impact will only grow! Through our "Pass-on-the-Gift" model, the firstborn calves will be gifted to neighboring households, creating a "living chain" of prosperity across the community.

This milestone is a collective success. Our deepest thanks to our community and local authorities for their vital partnership and to FEMI for investing in community-led change.

Join us in moving the needle. Your support helps us scale these sustainable solutions to more villages.

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating the theme "Our Power, Our Planet" by highlighting the heart of our restoration work: our tree nurseries! 🌱

These nurseries are more than just a place where seeds sprout; they are hubs for community action and environmental education. Every tree grown here is a testament to what we can achieve when we mobilize for nature.

A massive thank you to Global Exploration, Wilde Ganzen, Paint the Globe Foundation, FEMI, and our dedicated community for proving that the power to save our planet truly is in our hands.

We invite you to support our mission by donating a tree nursery to the areas in our community that need restoration the most. Your contribution brings life back to the land where it’s needed most.

🌍 Embracing New Beginnings in Simanjiro, Tanzania 🌱

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our latest project:
“An Integrated Community Development Approach to Strengthen Resilience and Self-Reliance through Sustainable Livelihoods and Natural Resource Management in Simanjiro, Tanzania”

Over the next three years, we'll be working closely with five remote sub-villages within Maasai pastoralist communities in rural Simanjiro to strengthen resilience, support sustainable livelihoods, and protect the natural resources that sustain lives and cultures.

This milestone marks a significant transformation for TACCEI as we launch our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and undergo a major organizational reform. We're transitioning from a volunteer-run model to a fully employee-led organization, solidifying our foundation for long-term impact.

January has seen remarkable progress, including regular community meetings, close engagement with the District Council Authority, and open dialogue. We're grateful for the enthusiastic acceptance and shared commitment from community members and local leadership.

Heartfelt thanks to FEMI, our long-standing donor, for believing in this transformation and funding this vital project. Your partnership is supporting a stronger, more resilient organization and future.

Let's walk this journey together, building resilient communities, nurturing self-reliance, and creating sustainable futures. 💚
