This Mount Kilimanjaro journey reflects the journey of our girls from difficult backgrounds as they return to school in 2026 in need of school fees and essential supplies.

In 2025, climate change has greatly affected our pastoralist communities, especially mothers whose main source of income is selling milk at the market to support their children’s education. Because of these challenges, many families are struggling to afford basic school essentials.

We sincerely thank Ewanga’n Foundation for being a light to Maasai girls and giving them hope for a better future. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the friends who supported four girls with school essentials.

If you are interested in supporting Ewanga’n girls, you are warmly welcome.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our cause.

I want to assure you that every penny you donated has helped six girls return to school. Your support provided them with essential items such as school uniforms, shoes, transportation to their boarding school, and assistance with school fees.

I’m reminded of the moment I reached Uhuru Peak. I thought of these girls—because I know their journey. I thought of the mothers who walk 20 kilometers every Saturday to Lolkisale to sell milk, just to afford their children’s education.

During the dry season, when cows don’t produce enough milk, it’s a huge challenge. Some girls are forced to delay or even miss school entirely.

“Ewanga’n” means light—and together, we can be a light for those in need.🫶🏼

Together, we can.

🌍 Climbing with Purpose: Mount Kilimanjaro for Girls’ Education 🏔️

From August 12–17, 2025, Monica will be trekking Mount Kilimanjaro — not just for the adventure, but for a cause close to my heart.

This climb supports the Ewanga’n Foundation and our mission to uplift girls in rural schools across Arusha.

Too many girls miss school due to lack of basic supplies and menstrual hygiene products. Together, we can change that.

💜 What We’re Providing:
• Reusable sanitary pads – to support dignity and school attendance
• School essentials – including books, pens, backpacks, and more

🎯 How You Can Help:
• Donate supplies
• Sponsor the trek
• Spread the word
• Join the movement

Every step I take is for a girl’s right to education, health, and a future of her own choosing.

Let’s climb this mountain — together.

In school campaign to raise awareness and end Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM), we’re proud to see both girls and boys engaging in open dialogue. FGM is a harmful practice that not only affects the health and rights of girls but also limits their access to education. When girls are unable to attend school due to FGM-related issues, our whole society loses.

Our voices matter. When we stand together — regardless of gender — we can challenge harmful traditions and create a safer, more inclusive future. Together, we can break the silence and be the change our community needs.”
Thank you for the opportunity 💪🏽
