Forest Focus is dedicated and committed to reconstruction and reformation of different forest levels from forest gardens to Nature reserves. Forest focus is driven by a philosophy that for humanity to excel forests of different sorts should well be managed and protected. To succeed its mission, Forest Focus seeks to dictate planting of multipurpose environmentally friendly trees with quick economi

Smile behind restoration
Every tree planted today is a step toward restoring the land, protecting water sources, and creating a healthier climate for future generations.
These smiles reflect hope a belief that in a few years, this landscape will be thriving again, supporting people, wildlife, and livelihoods.

Restoration is not just about trees; it’s about building a future where nature and communities can flourish together.

While tree planting and monitoring continue across our project sites, our nursery remains the foundation of every restoration effort. We are continuously nurturing healthy seedlings to ensure a sustainable supply of trees for environmental conservation.

Through dedicated care and management, our seedlings grow strong and ready for the field, supporting biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and a greener future.

Sometimes it’s not the salary, promotion, or title that motivates people.

Sometimes it’s simply being noticed.

A small gesture from a leader can make someone feel valued, appreciated, and inspired to do even more.

People work harder where they feel seen.

Markhamia lutea is a fast-growing tree species capable of producing seeds within two years after planting. This characteristic offers an excellent opportunity for early seed collection, evaluation, and selection of high-quality seeds for future propagation. By carefully analyzing and preserving superior seeds, nursery operators can enhance the production of healthy and vigorous tree seedlings. These seedlings can later be distributed for reforestation and environmental conservation activities. Furthermore, the rapid reproductive ability of Markhamia lutea supports sustainable tree-planting programs and ensures a continuous supply of quality planting materials for future use.

Today marks the successful conclusion of a three-day strategic meeting on mangrove conservation and coastal biodiversity preservation, held from 28th–30th May in Dar es Salaam.

Forest Focus was proudly represented by our Executive Director, Khalifa Mganga, and Assistant Executive Director, Anthony Mbilinyi. We were honored to join fellow conservation stakeholders, including Tanzania tanzania_forest Forest Services (TFS) and wwftanzania WWF, in advancing discussions aimed at strengthening systems for the collection, management, and preservation of environmental data.

A key outcome of the meeting was the development of a coordinated strategy to improve coastal data collection and information sharing, enabling more effective monitoring of mangrove ecosystems and supporting evidence-based conservation efforts along Tanzania’s coastline.

As we continue working toward healthier ecosystems, restored biodiversity, and resilient coastal communities, collaborations like these remain essential in shaping a sustainable future for both people and nature.

Together, we can protect our mangroves, conserve biodiversity, and strengthen the resilience of our coastal environments for generations to come. 🌍💚
