My name is Vigody George; a co-founder of Southern Commiseration Gate-SOCOGA (an NGO that operates in Tanzania); a professionally trained teacher specializing in Physics and Mathematics. I am writing to respectfully request your support toward the establishment of a community daycare and primary school in Chalinze, Pwani Region, Tanzania.
Background
Access to quality and affordable early childhood and primary education remains a challenge for many families in Chalinze and surrounding areas. Many children begin schooling late or lack strong foundations in numeracy, literacy, and discipline due to overcrowded classrooms and limited educational facilities.
The Project
The proposed school aims to provide:
Quality daycare and primary education
Strong foundations in Mathematics, Science, art and craft subjects and literacy
A safe, child-friendly learning environment
Affordable education for low- and middle-income families
The NGO has already own land in Chalinze designated for this project and I will be directly involved in the academic leadership and day-to-day management of the school to ensure quality and accountability.
Support Requested
We are seeking support in the form of:
Financial donations for classroom construction
Building materials (cement, iron sheets, timber, paint)
School furniture (desks, chairs, tables)
Teaching and learning materials
Your contribution, whether financial, material, or technical, will directly support the education and future of children in this community.
Sustainability
This initiative is designed to be sustainable. While donations will support the initial setup, the school will be maintained through affordable school fees once operational.
Accountability
We are committed to transparency and accountability. All support received will be properly documented, and progress reports, photographs, and updates will be shared with our partners and supporters.
