A major milestone at IOP as we begin 2026! πŸŽ‰

The Lord’s Hill Secondary School community, proudly witnessed the groundbreaking of a long-awaited additional science laboratory β€” completing the three required laboratories for the school.

For several years, the school has operated with only two laboratory rooms. In line with the Tanzania Ministry of Education standards, three fully equipped laboratories are required. This new lab marks a huge step forward.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Acting Managing Director Tulia Mkwama, accompanied by guests from Norway, IOP staff, students, and contractors.

Once completed, the new laboratory will:
πŸ”¬ Enable the school to qualify for high school enrollment starting August 2028
πŸ§ͺ Strengthen science education with a fully equipped lab and essential chemicals
🌍 Inspire and support the next generation of Tanzanian scientists

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Nordox, through the IOP Norway Committee, for their generous startup funding for the foundation of this important project.

However, the journey is not yet complete. Additional funding is still needed, and IOP warmly welcomes all well-wishers and partners to support the completion of this laboratory β€” helping turn the dreams of future scientists into reality.

We are deeply grateful for every contribution toward this meaningful work at our beautiful and high-performing school. DM for details πŸ™

πŸ“š In 2025, the school achieved outstanding academic results:
πŸ† 45 students earned Division I
πŸ… Only 6 students earned Division II

Together, we are building a brighter future through education.

This Christmas and New Year season, the children from IOP Centre were gifted a moment of joy, wonder, and discovery, a visit to Mikumi National Park

An experience filled with learning, joy, and a deep connection with nature. They explored the behaviors and beauty of wild animals, expanding their understanding beyond the classroom

For many, it was their very first time seeing the breathtaking beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife up close. Their eyes lit up with excitement, their hearts filled with curiosity, and their minds opened to new dreams

This experience was not just a trip, it was a lesson in life, a celebration of hope, and a reminder that they are not forgotten

Thanks to the generous hearts of our dear supporters, these children felt seen, valued, and loved.

From the depths of our hearts, we thank you. You are helping to shape not just memories, but a future full of possibility.
