🌱 Tree Planting Initiative for Climate Change Response 🌍

Community members participating in tree planting activities as part of environmental conservation and climate change response initiatives implemented by Community Salvation Organization.

The activity aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, increasing community awareness on climate change, and encouraging collective responsibility in protecting the environment through tree planting and conservation practices. Trees play an important role in improving air quality, reducing environmental degradation, conserving biodiversity, and strengthening community resilience against the effects of climate change.

The initiative also continues to empower communities, especially women and youth, to actively participate in building a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future for present and future generations.

Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness session conducted during the Tunaweza/VSLG group meeting under the Pamoja Tunaweza Program implemented by Community Salvation Organization.

The session focused on promoting nurturing care, child protection, nutrition, early learning, and positive parenting practices to support healthy child growth and development. In addition, participants received awareness on GBV prevention, the importance of family unity, protection of women and children from violence, and strengthening community support systems for vulnerable groups.

Women were encouraged to use Tunaweza Groups as safe platforms for economic empowerment, peer support, and collective action against GBV while improving household welfare and child well-being through savings, entrepreneurship, and social learning initiatives.
