We welcome the launch of the Tanzania Childcare Ecosystem Report, a timely and evidence-based contribution to strengthening Early Childhood Development in Tanzania 🇹🇿.

Developed through collaboration between Tanzania ECD Network, Global Schools Forum and The African Early Childhood Network (AfECN), the report highlights critical gaps in access, quality, financing, workforce conditions, and policy coordination within Tanzania’s childcare ecosystem.

With fewer than 5% of children under five accessing formal childcare, especially those in rural areas, from low-income families, and children with disabilities this conversation is long overdue.
