Improving Menstrual Health and Dignity in Rural Kondoa!

Through the Maisha na Elimu - Project, we have constructed incinerators at Bereko Secondary School and Itaswi Secondary School, two rural schools in Kondoa District that previously had no safe menstrual waste disposal facilities.

With funding support from NGO Maisha Roots , we are creating cleaner and safer school environments where girls can manage menstruation with dignity and confidence.

We are excited to introduce the passionate, driven and visionary youth leaders who will lead the Digital Business Program under the Going Beyond project implemented by Reaching the Unreached Tanzania (RUT) in partnership with Digital Opportunity Trust and Mastercard Foundation. 

These dynamic leaders are ready to empower over 3000 young entrepreneurs across Dodoma City Council and Chamwino District.

🎓✨ Congratulations to Our Youth Leaders!

On 1st June 2026, the youth leaders of the Going Beyond Round 3 Project, implemented by Reaching the Unreached Tanzania (RUT) in partnership with Digital Opportunity Trust and the Mastercard Foundation, reached an important milestone by successfully graduating from the Training of Trainers (ToT) under the Youth Leadership Program.

Through this training, they gained essential facilitation skills for the Digital Business Program and are now prepared to facilitate fellow youth and small business owners across Chamwino and Dodoma City Council wards.

As they begin facilitating training sessions in their communities, we celebrate their dedication, leadership, and commitment to creating positive change. We wish them every success as they inspire, train, and support young entrepreneurs to grow resilient and thriving businesses.

On World Menstrual Health Day 2026, RUT proudly joined the global movement to promote menstrual health and dignity for every girl. With support from we provided sanitary pads to vulnerable rural school girls and conducted menstrual health education sessions to increase knowledge, confidence, and school attendance. We believe that no girl should miss opportunities because of her period. Together, we are breaking stigma, promoting dignity, and empowering girls to thrive.

Girls in rural schools across Chamwino District are learning how to sew reusable sanitary pads through funding from Global Youth Mobilization (GYM).The training is helping young girls gain practical vocational skills, improve menstrual health management, build confidence, and reduce school absenteeism caused by lack of access to sanitary products. 💜

With support from Global Youth Mobilisation, the Reaching the Unreached Tanzania (RUT) team continues to empower young girls with practical skills in reusable sanitary pad production.

The girls featured in this post are among the trained participants who successfully learned how to sew reusable pads independently, building not only menstrual health solutions, but also confidence, leadership, and vocational skills for their future. 💜

Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Youth Leadership Program under Round 3 of the Going Beyond Project was successfully conducted, with participants actively engaging in a variety of training activities.

Through interactive sessions and practical learning experiences, these young leaders are being equipped with the skills and confidence needed to lead and facilitate the Digital Business Program within their communities.

Are you a passionate young leader ready to make a difference in your community? This is your chance!

Reaching the Unreached Tanzania in collaboration with Digital Opportunity Trust and Mastercard Foundation invites applications for the Youth Leadership Program 2026–2027 under the Going Beyond Project.

• 3 weeks intensive training in leadership, digital & business skills
• 6 months community placement as a coach & changemaker
• Opportunity to empower MSMEs (70% women)
• Access to a network of 5,000+ young leaders across Africa
