**Different contexts, common aspirations. 🌍**

This , we celebrate the 1.2 billion young people around the world who may live different realities, yet share many of the same hopes: access to quality education, decent employment, a safe environment, equal opportunities, and a meaningful voice in shaping the future.

Young people are not simply the leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders, innovators, advocates, and changemakers today. As we commemorate this day, let us listen to their voices, recognize their potential, create opportunities for their participation, and work together to ensure that no young person is left behind.

**Different contexts. Common aspirations. A shared commitment to a better future.**

Water. Sanitation. Hygiene.
The theme connects one mission where
a better future for every African child starts.

Because when a child has clean water, they stay healthy.
When a school has proper sanitation, children especially girls, stay in class.
When families have access to hygiene, communities grow stronger.

And together we can make it a reality.

Today, we commemorate , a reminder that no girl should have to choose between her period and her education.

Aligning with this year’s theme, “Together for a Period Friendly World”, we reaffirm our commitment to breaking stigma, improving access, and creating safe, supportive environments for every girl.

Standing with girls. Standing for dignity. 🩸
