Vision Children and youth have a voice and are fully engaged in the socio-economic development decisions affecting them.
Mission CYDI is a child and youth focused organization working towards: peace, unity, social and economic empowerment, advocacy, psychosocial support, sensitization, community outreaches, networking, educational support, environmental protection and conservation.
Goal To promote and support socio-economic inclusion and empowerment of children and youth on matters that allow them have greater control over their destinies individually and collectively and develop their abilities to effectively contribute towards advancement of sustainable development in Tanzania.

Objectives A. Support and promote improved access to education and ICT training to children and youth.
B. Foster youth gainful self-employment through delivery of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and vocational skills training.
C. Facilitate improved access to education and psycho-social well-being of marginalized children and youth.
D. To create social stability and awareness on reproductive health, HIV / AIDS and other related adolescence issues.
E. To advocate for a society whereby children and youth with disabilities have equal rights and opportunities for growth and development.
F. Increase household income through effective promotion of youth led self-help projects at both community and individual level contributing to poverty eradication initiative.
G. Promote equal opportunities and rights to all children and youth without distinction as to age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity and socio-economic status.
H. Conduct studies, research and consultancies on issues related to children and youth development and poverty eradication.
I. Encourage active youth participation in environmental protection and conservation.
J. Liaise and partner with donors and stakeholders to develop strategies and agenda on children and youth development issues.
Activities of the organization a) Child Protection
i. Promote Child Protection and Advocacy (CP and A) to prevent and respond to exploitation, violence, marginalization, neglect and abuse against children, including s*xual exploitation and harmful traditional practices, such as child marriages
ii. Promote and support Youth Clubs which create a safe, enabling environments for children to spend time doing homework, playing sport, developing leadership and life skills and learning how to approach life creatively.
iii. Empower Faith and traditional leaders to provide a caring and protective environment for all girls and boys, especially the most vulnerable children
iv. Empower caregivers and families of most vulnerable children respect, nurture and protect all girls and boys
v. Encourage Girls and Boys to have life skills and resilience to protect themselves and their peers
vi. Promote Child Protection formal and informal mechanisms collaborating effectively in protecting boys & girls from abuse
vii. Empower Girls and Boys to be influential as child well-being actors amongst their peers, in their family and in their community
b) Education and ICT
i. Facilitate the creation of peer education and exchange programs to encourage and improve equitable free and easy use of ICT and educational training programs in rural, urban and remote areas.
ii. Facilitate and support the establishment of distance learning centers, training of trainers and development of retraining programs that aim at children and youth empowerment at community level.
iii. Encourage the local production of educational and ICT content and access to content.
iv. Support marginalized children with access to educational and psycho-social well-being including educational grants and scholarships.
v. Encourage and support literacy boost programs in primary schools.
vi. Implement programs that will ensure children receive access to basic education through reading and numeracy programs and other educational interventions to ensure a brighter future for the children.
c) Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and Vocational Skills Program
i. Conducting and facilitation of various children and youth training programs in self-development, relationship management, business, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.
ii. Linking the youth entrepreneurs to credit and financial institutions.
iii. Provision of business support services including information, mentoring and coaching to young emerging and expanding entrepreneurs.
iv. Support and facilitate the establishment and equipping of VTCs at community level aimed at empowering children and youth with relevant vocational and life skills training.
d) Value Based Life Skills Programs
i. Provision of sustainable and profitable means of livelihoods through practical training on Income Generating Activities, Financial Management and Social Ethics to children and youth.
ii. Support to orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) to attain value based life skills training.
e) Environmental Protection and Conservation
i. Training of Youth Support Groups (YSCs) formation of Environmental Protection and Conservation Clubs (EPCCs) in schools.
ii. Support the establishment of tree nurseries which act as a demonstration site and supplies tree seedlings to the community.
f) HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health
i. Encourage Behavioral Change Communication (BCC)
ii. Awareness, sensitization and Community outreaches
iii. Guidance and counselling
iv. Distribution of information, education and communication materials
v. HIV/AIDS Counselling and Testing programs
Our Focus a) Vulnerable groups
Work with the most susceptible groups including children on the streets, child laborers, orphans, commercial s*x workers and hard to reach rural population.

Setting priorities that aim at achieving sustainable and meaningful improvements in the lives of children and youth we serve.

Partnering with communities involving their inputs and investment to attain sustainable change.

Engaging children and youth as active participants towards their own growth and development.

Using innovation and creativity in program strategies and approaches aiming at tackling challenges in modern ways.
