History of Voice of the Voiceless organization
The Voice of the Voiceless Organization (VOVO) is a not-for-profit Organization that strategically works towards the advancement of social justice for the mass welfare in Tanzania through provision of legal awareness to the poor and marginalized parts of the Tanzania Community to strengthen civic legal competence towards access to social justice and e
quitable development. Established and Registered in 2014 under the Non Governmental Organizations Act, no.24 of 2002, it works to reduce the legal knowledge gap existing in most of Tanzania communities, and stand as a baseline for human rights education and give a direction to inventions aimed at promoting human rights awareness in Tanzania. VOVO’s strategic direction that calls for strengthening civic competence towards access to social justice and equitable development is based on the fact that the rights of the majority and marginalized such as women, widows, orphans, elderly and poverty stricken people are curtailed by the limited legal awareness, a fact which has translated into far reaching negative consequences in the administration of justice. our vision
